My head was pounding.

"Ugh..."

I couldn't see anything. The world was dark.

And everything was cold.

I began to move whatever I could to feel around. The ground was cold and smooth, like metal. Metal flooring perhaps? Of a cage?

I moved my hands to my face, removing a blindfold from my eyes. That explains why the world was dark. I sat up and looked around. I was in a metal cage dangling from the ceiling over a pit of alligators that looked kinda hungry.

Go figure, I know.

"S-Sheria...can you tame them?" I asked as I turned around, expecting Sheria to be standing right behind me like she always was. But she wasn't there. No one was there. Just the alligators and me.

"Sheria?!" I cried out again, now in more of a panic. Where was I? Where was everyone else? Was Sheria alright? Did they get her too? I couldn't let that happen. That's when the panic set in. I wasn't in control of this situation. I needed the control back.

Finally it all came back to me. I knew why I was here. They came back for me. Only they were prepared that time. I didn't stand a chance. They didn't give me the time I needed to channel my powers. I only had enough time to give Sheria a running head start. And even then she couldn't run that fast so who knows if she was safe or not.

My hand moved up to where my heart amulet was, only to find it was missing. I had given it to Sheria with my bow. They couldn't have the amulet or bow. That's what everyone seemed to be after, anyway. But why did they get me? Didn't they want the artifacts that actually had powers and stuff? I'm just a kid.

I had stood up and walked around the cage, trying to see if anyone else was around or watching me. I noticed that the only thing above me was the ceiling and on the walls around the pit were glass windows that were tinted so they were hidden for the most part. I was probably being watched. But why?

"Hey you morons who captured me! Can I go home now? I don't really appreciate being left here alone like this!" Thankfully I left my sword-belt bag back at the castle. I was now wearing what looked like a hospital gown. They took my normal clothes and shoes. Rude. Just who did they think they were?

I took a deep breath before shouting again, "I know you're watching me! Just show yourselves before I make alligator soup! Or better yet, fried alligator!"

That finally got their attention as a door opened from the glass. A metal path stretched out to the cage I was in and a single man began to walk towards me. I turned to watch him walk to me as I crossed my arms.

That also gave me information on them. They knew I was dangerous and was capable of starting fires. I couldn't underestimate them. I'd have to rely on my training. I was far outnumbered here and didn't know my surroundings well at all.

The man had an interesting expression on his face as he walked to me. I studied his outfit and his face just in case I'd ever run into him again once I got out of this hell hole. He wore a sleek black jacket with his black pants and matching boots. He also wore this long jacket that was black with silver and red endorsements. It was obvious he was an enemy. He just had that feeling about him. Was he the one who turned Jen the way she was?

His hair was messy, perhaps a few shades darker than mine and not nearly as long. He also was definitely taller than I'd ever be. His physical stature was rather slim, just like me; however, I was slimmer since I didn't do that intense of physical training. My physical training was running, playing with fire, and target practice. Nevertheless, it was easy to tell that he was strong and whatever his fighting style was, he excelled at it. I knew it wasn't wise to fight him without my bow or amulet.
