"Awww," you frowned at your phone.

Your favourite travel account on Instagram, Check In, was going on hiatus for a while.

Originated in Korean, Check In was owned by four boys. They all shared this account and posted pictures from their adventures all around the world. The owners, S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon, were around your age and one of them was bilingual, speaking Korean and English.

Sadly, the four boys were all going to stop travelling and attend regular school again.

You scrolled through their page and admired all their photos once more.

They've been to Seoul, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Osaka, Jakarta, Taipei and Auckland.

Their photos were so beautifully taken and it really captured the moment.

Sighing, you put your phone in your bag and began walking to school, still feeling sad.

"Class, may I have your attention please," your geography teacher spoke as he stood beside a new face. "We have a new student! Please introduce yourself."

The new boy bowed and said, "Hello everyone, I am Chwe Hansol. Nice to meet you!"

"This project will be done in pairs, please find your partner now."

You looked towards your friends but since there was an odd number of you guys, you didn't have a partner.

Looking around the class, your eyes landed on the new kid.

"Excuse me," walking up to Hansol, "would you like to be partners?"

He looked up and his face lit up with a smile, "Yes please!"

You couldn't help but smile back and the two of you began talking about your project.

You ended up going to Hansol's house after school to work on the project.

The two of you really got to know each other after talking for hours. You clicked so easily with him, it felt natural.

You and Hansol had conversations about everything. From common interests to the very existence of people, you felt like you could tell him anything even though you've only known him for one day.

After the two of you finished your project and the conversations finally died down, he invited you upstairs.

You stepped into his room and stopped in your tracks.

His room was covered with maps and images of places from around the world. There was so much to look at and you were interested in every photo.

"This is amazing," you let out as you admired his room.

"Thanks," he sheepishly said as he sat down on his bed.

Your gaze fell upon a desk and you walked over to it. There were a bunch of maps scattered all over and lots of travel guides as well.

Picking up a guide, it revealed a journal underneath it.

Titled "Check In", you slowly opened the book as the title intrigued you and read a few passages.

It was a travel diary and you noticed that all of the entries ended with "-Vernon".

You stopped flipping through the pages and turned around to face Hansol.

Just as you turned around to face him, your phone buzzed.

Picking it up, you noticed that it was a notification from Instagram. You opened the app and it revealed a new post from Check In.

Captioned "I'm definitely staying here for a while", it was a photo of you with your back facing the camera while reading the travel journal. The light coming through his window made your figure a silhouette so no one could tell who it was.

You looked up at the boy and asked him, "Are you Vernon from the Instagram account Check In?"

He nodded and gave you a cheeky smile, "I didn't think you would follow a travelling account."

You smiled and walked over to him, "I want to travel so badly but I don't have the money. Your account was like a mini vacation for me." Sitting down next to him on his bed, you told him.

Hansol didn't reply and just stuck his pinky finger out. He looked at you and there was a hopeful look on his face, "One day I will take you to all the places I've been to. I promise."

You didn't know where this came from but there was a serious look in his eye. You nodded and wrapped your pinky around his, "Promise?"

He nodded and looked at your pinky's with a smile on his face, "Promise."
