"Next is," your teacher pulled a tiny piece of folded paper from out of the hat, "Y/N!"

You sighed and felt your heart begin to beat even faster than before. You stood up, grabbed your cue cards and began to walk to the front of the class.

"Good luck!" Joshua whispered to you before you started walking.

You smiled back at him in thanks and gripped your cue cards tighter.

Standing in front of all your peers, you felt your hands shaking and your heart pounding. Everyone was focusing on you and nothing else. They were going to listen to every word you spoke and not take their eyes off of you.

You took a shakey breath and looked towards the back of the class.

Joshua was making hearts to you and overexagerating all of them. From cute little finger hearts to his hands over his head, this boy was trying to calm you down with his goofy actions.

It worked. You couldn't help but smile at his silly hearts, it calmed your nerves.

You took another deep breath and glanced at Joshua one more time.

The boy blew you a kiss and you began your speech.

"Thank you," You let out a breath and ended your speech.

You look around the class as everyone applauds for you, one person clapping especially loud.

You smile at your best friend who is clapping loudly and giving you a thumbs up.

"That was amazing!" Your best friend whispered as you sat back down in your seat. Your hands were still shaking and your heart was still beating quickly.

You shook your head in disagreement, "My voice wasn't loud enough and I didn't put enough emotions into it."

"Girl, stop it. You were amazing," Joshua smiles at you and nods his head as if he's agreeing with himself.

"Just before class ends, up next is Joshua," your teacher announced as he finished marking your presentation.

You give your best friend a nudge on the shoulder and smile at him, "Break a leg!"

His face drops and he nervously smiles at you, "Please do, so I don't have to present."

"Shut up," You hit him as he gets up and walks to the front.

Joshua stands in front of the class with his cue cards in hand. You can tell he is nervous by the way he keeps drumming his fingers against the pieces of paper and how he is biting his lip.

He looks up from his notes as your teacher gets ready. Joshua makes eye contact with you and you take the opportunity to stand up and send him a full body heart by jumping up in the air as you make a heart.

This makes the boy laugh and the whole class giggles in their seat. Your teacher looks up from her papers but doesn't seem to notice anything wrong.

You quickly play it off by "picking up your pencil from the ground" and sit back down in your seat.

You meet eyes with Joshua and see that he is smiling. He is no longer nervously drumming his fingers and biting his lip. He is smiling and looks more relaxed.

"You may go ahead, Joshua."

"That wasn't so bad was it?" You tell your best friend after class ends and he finished his speech.

The two of you walk into the hallway and go to your next class.

"Not after you sent me that heart," he matches your pace and smiles, "Thank you for that, I needed it."

You shake your head, "Anything for you."

A faint blush rises to his cheeks but thankfully you don't notice because you were too busy greeting a friend.

The two of you arrive at your class and stand beside the door.

"See you at lunch?" You ask him.

He nods and says, "Thanks again for those hearts."

You just smile at him and shake your head, "I would do anything to help you, you know that."

He took in your words and realized that he was so lucky to have you by his side. His confidence suddenly goes up and he smiles. You could see the playfulness in his eyes as he said, "Then maybe next time you can give me a kiss."

Before you had the chance to react, he pecks you on the cheek and bids you farewell.

"See you at lunch, Y/N!"

The American boy leaves you in shock as you blush furiously. Your hand reaches up to touch your cheek as if you didn't believe what just happened.

A smile forms on your lips and you think to yourself, "Maybe next time I will give him a kiss."
