happy birthday baby!
~

Joshua was every parents dream son and what every dad wanted his daughter (or son) to date.

He was a true gentleman, kind, respectful, organized, smart and an all around guy. He was the total package and the "ideal" type.

Y/N on the other hand, was completely different from him. She was still respectful, able to act like a lady, smart in her areas and had many good qualities. It was just that she was more relaxed than Joshua was and didn't worry as much as he did.

The two of them surprisingly had all of their classes together so they became friends very quickly. The two contrasting personalities seemed like a perfect match for the two.

They would always have each other's back. When Joshua forgot to have his morning coffee and fell asleep in class, Y/N took more notes than usual and would give them to the boy after class ended.

When Y/N would fall asleep in class, Joshua would try his best to cover her up and take more notes for her as well. Whenever she was asked a question and she wasn't paying attention to the lesson, he would quickly whisper her the answer and be her saving grace.

Their friendship was like this and filled with food, smiles and laughter.

Today was a national holiday so there was no school. The two of them had planned to get caught up with school in the morning and go out in the afternoon.

The morning was a good work session for the both of them, completing projects, making study notes, the two of them worked hard.

They worked so hard they didn't realize they worked all the way into the night.

"Shua, what time is it?" Y/N surprised herself when she looked out the window and saw that it was pitch black.

"Oh man, we worked the entire day. I'm sorry we didn't get to go out," he got up and stretched, apologizing to her.

The girl did the same and shook her head, "It's okay."

Taking a look at her phone, she looked at the time and her eyes lit up.

"Let's go out now!"

The boy was cleaning up his work when she said that. He gave her a weird look and shook his head, "No it's late and you need to go home."

"Awww, c'mon!" She walked over to him and showed him the time.

The boy looked at the bright screen and saw that it was still early into the night.

Nonetheless, he still shook his head. "No, Y/N."

The girl puffed out her cheeks and crossed her arms, "You're no fun."

That seemed to click something in Joshua's head. He was always telling himself to get out of his comfort zone and to be carefree for once. He was finished all his homework and even got a head start in school. He was able to have fun and not have anything to worry about.

"You know what? Let's do it, Y/N." A smile spread across his face and a fire ignited in his eyes.

His best friend felt her heart swell up with joy as an equally as big smile creeped onto her face, "Wow look at you!" She was always telling the boy to relax and just be carefree for once, now he was finally taking her words in.

"Okay, I'll leave now and you stay here. I know your parents would never let you out this late so you're going to have to sneak out through the window." The girl walked over to the window and opened it.
