Hansol sighed as he looked down at his right arm. The boy had fractured his wrist by doing stupid dances with his friends and now he couldn't write or type. He wasn't able to do work and he had a major music assignment due in a few days that he hasn't started.

His music teacher had created an assignment where each student had to create their own song. They had to produce the instrumental and write their own lyrics. They would record them singing or rapping it and submit the complete mp3 to them.

Hansol couldn't think of anything for his song and decided to procrastinate by watching movies. "It will help me gain inspiration," he told his parents as they saw him laying in bed.

The boy spent the entire weekend watching old movies and not working on his assignment. He had shed many tears over the films and felt his heart ache in some of them. He gained lots of inspiration from them and admired the storylines. But after each movie, he was left thinking of someone.

He was thinking of Y/N.

The two of them met in music class and were both shy at first. Once they got to know each other, they broke out of their shells and became very comfortable with one another. They quickly became best friends and told each other almost everything, from what they ate for breakfast to what they were going to do in the future. The two teenagers would discuss life during class and often meet up to help each other with homework. Their shared love of music also brought them closer. They talked about the artists they like and shared new bands with each other.

So why was Hansol always thinking about Y/N after each movie? They were just best friends after all, nothing more.

The boy didn't understand why he was feeling this way and pushed the thought aside. He just kept on watching movies and admired all the love stories.

On the other side, Y/N never told Hansol about her crush on him.

All the girls in their school had a crush on the Korean-American boy. With his striking good looks and philosophical mind, he was everyone's ideal type. His brilliant mind always made things interesting and his music never failed to impress.

Hansol would always tell Y/N about the girls that would confess to him. He would say how difficult it was to turn them down and not hurt their feelings. The boy didn't seem to realize that he was everyone's crush, including hers.

Y/N felt so lucky to be his best friend. She knew almost everything about him and he trusted her with his life. He told her anything and everything whenever they met up, he never held back his heart. She guesses that's what made her fall for him. She knew so much about him, Y/N even knew that Hansol would never like her back.

So that's why the girl pushed away her feelings for him. Their friendship was too valuable and she didn't want to lose it over a silly crush. Y/N just tried her best to stop her heart from racing and her cheeks turning red every time Hansol did something remotely romantic.

After Hansol watched Your Name for the third time, he laid in bed and let his mind wander.

His laptop screen illuminated the dark room and he was hugging his pillow. The window was opened slightly and the summer breeze graced his room. The boy could faintly hear people talking outside and the cars driving by.

He laid there in silence for a while, letting his mind think about anything. He thought about school, the assignment, his friends, family, and Y/N. His heart was trying to tell him things the boy never realized before.

And that's when it hit him. He bolted up from his bed and began pacing around his room. Hansol's mind started racing with ideas and he knew he wouldn't be able to type with one hand fast enough. His thoughts were everywhere and he couldn't form proper sentences. He needed someone to help and only one person came to mind.
