i love you so so much you'll never know. you mean the world to me, thank you for everything.~
The dark nights would always bring your spirits down. That's when everything would come crashing down on you. The moments when life lost its beauty.
Sleepless nights filled with tears and heavy thoughts, you didn't know what to do. The loneliness was eating you away and it was the only thing you were thinking of. You felt out of place no matter where you were. You weren't yourself anymore.
These thoughts started after you were well into the school year. Things were changing rapidly and you couldn't keep up, especially after you became more aware of your surroundings. People were growing up, you were missing out on things you didn't even know about, and life was changing as you knew it.
Before all of this, you wanted to be someone who would always see the bright side of things, never losing your optimism. Things would suck at times, but you'd always stand back up and try to change things for the better. You didn't let yourself sulk for long periods of time, you didn't want to waste time being sad. Happiness was something you knew you could achieve if you had the right mindset, and you promised to never forget that.
Then, reality came crashing down on you and the things in front of you shifted into focus.
You ended up feeling like a different person in school now. You didn't feel like yourself anymore and just went through the motions. Life lost its beauty and you were just going through it. This wasn't you, and one person noticed it. He was always keeping an eye on people without saying a word. Having the class president come up to you and ask you about the upcoming project was definitely a surprise.
Boo Seungkwan was friendly to everyone and always saw the bright side of things, that's why he was nominated as class president. He knew how to approach everyone and made sure they felt included. Knowing what to say, what to do, and how to bring the class together. He spoke to anyone and everyone, having multiple friend groups (but he was especially closed to 12 boys in particular) and being friendly to all the school staff. The boy would spark up a conversation wherever he was, so it wasn't a big surprise when he came up to you at the end of the day.
Seungkwan slides into the seat in front of you and rests his chin on the back of his chair with the smile that never left his face. "Helloooo," he says while rising the note of each 'o' (read as: "hellooo↗️ooo↗️ooO↗️OOO") The boy always did this to you ever since he caught you singing one early morning at school (wi-fi by yoon jong shin was stuck in your head okay). The class president always greeted you like this and it always made you smile.
Replying in the same way, you give him a small smile, "What's up?'
He just shakes his head and nods his head towards you, "I wanna ask you how you're doing! Everything alright?" There was something hiding behind his eyes but you couldn't put your finger on it. Seungkwan was such an open book, anyone would know how he was feeling just by looking at him.
His question takes you by surprise and no words come out for a second, "Um, yeah. Why are you asking?" You force a smile onto your face and nod your head quickly, not wanting to open up to someone you didn't know that well.
He doesn't respond right away, only staring at your eyes. He was searching for the real answer on your face, knowing that you weren't telling the truth. He knew that you didn't open up easily and he was trying to break down your wall.
