golden hour • wonwoo

Y/N had stopped washing the dishes and looked out of the window. The view from their apartment allowed them to see that the sun was setting and the golden shine it casted on everything.

The girl put down the plate she was holding and said, "Wonwoo, put on your shoes and jacket."

"Hmm?" Her boyfriend hummed in response. He had his nose in a book and was sitting comfortably at their kitchen table. The boy was keeping her company as she washed the dishes from their dinner together.

"Let's go outside right now." Y/N had already dried her hands and was walking towards their shared bedroom to get her camera.

Wonwoo sighed and bookmarked the page he was at in his book. He stood up from his seat and began to get ready to go out. This wasn't the first time his girlfriend wanted to spontaneously take photos outside.

Y/N had a hobby for photography and always wanted to improve herself. To improve herself she needed to practice, so they went on lots of spontaneous photography trips.

"Polaroid camera or fancy camera?" His girlfriend yelled from the bedroom. She couldn't decided which camera was best for the lighting.

"Whatever you want, my love."

A few second later, she came out of the room holding both cameras. "I couldn't decide."

The couple walked out of their apartment and went down to their nearby park.

It was cherry blossom season and the entire park was covered with the pretty tiny flowers. Everything seemed more beautiful at golden hour, Y/N thought.

With Y/N's hand in Wonwoo's, the two of them walked through the park until they found the perfect location.

The girl suddenly stopped walking, "Right here."

They stopped in front of the lake which had lots of cherry blossom trees around it. Pink flowers decorated the sidewalk and the gentle breeze made them dance around.

Y/N took the Polaroid camera out of her bag and handed it to Wonwoo, "Can you take a photo of the both of us with your long limbs?"

The boy nodded and crouched down a little so the girl wouldn't have to tippy toe so much.

He counted down and took the photo, a cheeky smile branding both their faces. The flash went off and the camera began to develop the photo.

Regaining his normal height, Wonwoo gave his girlfriend back the camera. Y/N took the Polaroid from the camera and placed it back into her bag. She then took out her nice camera and brought the strap around her neck.

"Let's take some photos for your Instagram, your page has been dry lately." She told Wonwoo while adjusting the settings on the camera.

"But I don't know how to pose," objected the boy. He did not like getting his photo taken and never knew how to pose. He always looked awkward and unnatural in front of the camera.

"It's okay, you'll make it work. Your handsomeness shows through the camera, don't worry." Y/N told her boyfriend with an encouraging smile.

His cheeks grew warm as he stood in front of a huge cherry blossom tree. The sun was casting its golden light onto the boy and everything seemed so perfect.

She took a few pictures as he awkwardly stood there and attempted to pose for her.

Wanting to get him to warm up, Y/N looks around the park and then yells, "YOU CAN DO THIS, JEON WONWOO, BAG OF LUCK!"

The boy cracks up at his girlfriend yelling and at how false that statement was. He had zero luck and the two of them both knew.

As the boy was laughing, the girl was taking photos of him. She could see how his eyes would crinkle as he laughed and the happiness erupting from him.

After the boy calmed down, Y/N showed him the pictures she took. "See? You can look natural in front of the camera."

Wonwoo looked through the photos and nodded to himself, "Honestly, it's all you. Thanks for making me look so good on camera and making me look less awkward. These are really nice photos."

The girl smiled and gave the camera to him, "Anything for my love. Now, take some photos of me please!"

After an hour of the two of them taking photos and goofing around at the park, they headed back to the apartment.

The sun had set and everything was now illuminated by street lights. Wonwoo and Y/N walked down the street, hand in hand, with smiles on their faces.

The couple loved spending time together like this. Doing random things without a plan, enjoying time with each other, laughing, smiling, capturing the moment, they loved every second of it.

"Thank you for everything, Wonwoo." The girl quietly said as they walked down the empty street. She spent all her energy on taking photos but felt so happy on the inside.

"Thank you for everything, Y/N." The boy replied back to her with a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his favourite person on earth and how she would make him so happy. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Wonwoo kisses the top of Y/N's head and the two of them continued to walk home. They were ready to fall asleep in each other's arms and see when they would do something like this again in the future.
