The first time Seokmin read to you was on one particular sleepless night.

You had a rough day at school and just wanted to go to sleep. You were overloaded with work and college didn't seem to go easy on you. Anxiety and nerves ate you away and you were so tired. But when you went to bed early, you weren't able to fall asleep. You tossed and turned in bed for an hour, until you had finally given up and called your best friend.

"Hey, what are you doing up? I thought you said you were going to sleep," the boy's voice comes out of the phone beside you and pierces the silent bedroom. The two of you were texting earlier and you had told him that you were going to sleep.

You sigh and put the call on speaker so it was easier for you to speak in bed. "Yeah, I tried to fall asleep but I just couldn't. Now I'm here, exhausted and frustrated that I can't sleep!" Seokmin knew that you were tired from everything that had happened that day. He was by your side the entire time and helped you when you needed it most. Making you smile in between classes and eating lunch with you, trying to ease your anxiety and stress.

The two of you knew each other inside and out, being best friends since you were children. You knew each other's strengths and weaknesses, helping without asking. You two just understood each other and felt like perfect puzzle pieces put together. The puzzle that kept growing over the years and the bond between the two of you getting stronger.

Seokmin knew how tired you were and just wanted you to feel better. He saw your worried expressions throughout the day and could feel how tense you were. The boy just wanted his best friend to know that everything was going to be alright and that you were going to be able to complete everything.

"Did you try wrapping yourself up in another blanket? Did you have caffeine?" He asks you, putting his phone on speaker and bookmarking the page he stopped at. Seokmin was sitting on his bed, dressed in comfy clothes with his glasses perched on his nose. He had a long day of classes as well and wanted to unwind.

You snuggle into your fuzzy blanket and lay on your side, looking at your lit up phone screen. "I'm all wrapped up already, and no I didn't have any caffeine."

"Hmm," the boy says as he tries to think of more ways to help you fall asleep. The two of you had multiple sleepovers as kids and were very close to each other. As you got older, both of your apartments were open to one another. If someone was too tired to walk back to their place, they would come over. If someone needed a place to crash for the night, the door was always open. And if one of you wanted some company, you would shoot a simple text and the two of you would have a sleepover just like old times.

White noise settles around the two of you and it makes you feel a lot better. Knowing that you weren't alone and that you were connected to your best friend. The night didn't seem so lonely anymore.

An idea popped into Seokmin's head and he smiles to himself, "Since I can't cuddle with you right now, maybe put on my hoodie that you stole from me?" You could hear the slight tease in his voice and it puts a smile on your face.

Shuffling out of bed, you grab the hoodie from your desk chair and slip it on. The cozy fabric greets your body in a warm embrace and you pull the hood over your head. You get back into bed and wrap yourself in blankets once again, the warmth welcoming you. The hoodie smelled like Seokmin and it felt like home.

"Better?"

You mumble a "yes" and the boy chuckles. He could perfectly picture you laying in bed, all wrapped up and buried in your blankets. The thought of you wearing his hoodie made his heart skip a beat and his mind daydream. You would look so adorable wearing his hoodie that was too big on you, with sleepy eyes and messy hair.
