Y/N looked up at the street signs and back down at her paper map.
She was lost.
It was her first time in Seoul and she found it so amazing. There were so many new things to see, but it was hard being in a country you've never been to before and not speak the language as well. She was stuck in China for a long time, but she finally had the chance to travel outside of her country.
Y/N looked up once more and saw that the sun was setting. The winter sky was a golden purple colour and the street lights began to turn on. She sat down on the bench on the street and tried her best to figure out where she was.
A boy around her age sat down beside her and was texting on his phone. He was very fashionable and Y/N felt a little intimidated. He seemed very cool and like he didn't want to talk to anyone.
Quietly mumbling to herself, she attempted to figure out how to make her way around Seoul.
"Exit 17? Where is that though? Next to Gangnam station? But-"
The boy sitting next to her said, "Excuse me, but are you lost?"
What surprised Y/N was not someone helping her, but the fact that he was speaking Chinese as well.
She nodded, "Your Chinese is really good!"
"I moved here from China," the stranger smiled at her, "Where are you trying to go?"
It turned out that the stranger was actually very warm and willing to help someone in need. She mentally thanked God for letting her meet this boy.
The girl looked down at the paper map in her lap, "I wanted to go the trick-eye museum."
The boy's eyes lit up and he moved closer to her. Taking the map from her, he quickly scanned it and pointed to an intersection.
"It's nearby, but I think it's closed now. It's pretty late," he told her.
She frowned and nodded, "Oh okay. Thank you so much for your help!"
Folding the map back up, she stood up and waved farewell to the boy, "I better head back now. It was nice meeting you!"
She turned around and started walking back to her hotel when the boy called out, "Wait!"
He ran up to her and offered, "Would you like me to show you around Seoul at night since you can't go to the museum? There are many things you miss during the day but you get to see them at night. Don't worry about us getting lost, I've lived here for a long time and I know my way around."
Quickly weighing out the pros and cons of letting a stranger take her around a city she's never been to before, she decided to accept his offer. She wanted some adventure in her life.
Y/N smiled and nodded eagerly, "I would love that!"

Minghao (he told her his name when they later properly introduced themselves to each other) walked with Y/N down the busy street. He had taken her to some of the popular arcades and noraebangs. They sang their hearts out and even won some plushies. They created lots of memories in the short time they spent together.
It was nice to have Minghao with her since he was able to speak Korean and Chinese. They were able to get around the city and also have a conversation between the two of them. Minghao was also very happy to make a new friend who spoke Chinese and connected so well with him.
As they walked down the street at night, they noticed there was a group of people dancing. Y/N found out that this was very common in Korea and she would always stop to watch the street performances.
These group of people were not doing a dance routine but rather free-styling, using all types of dances.
The two of them stopped to watch their performance and cheered them on.
After the song ended, the group asked if anyone in the crowd wanted to dance.
Minghao looked around the crowd and saw that no one was coming forward. Slowly raising his hand, he offered to dance.
The group and crowd cheered him on as he stepped onto the "stage". They started playing music and Minghao began to dance.
Y/N recognized it as b-boying and saw that his moves were very sharp and precise. She saw that he was very talented and he was having lots of fun while doing it.
After the song was over, he went back to Y/N with a huge smile on his face. He was so happy and felt very energetic.
"You are so talented!" She complimented him with a smile on her face as well.
He just nodded in thanks and took her hand as they walked away from the busking, "I wanna show you a place."
Minghao pulled her away from the crowd and down the street. They were running, but she didn't know where to.

The two of them stopped in front of a river and sat down on the stairs. The water was calm and you could see the reflection of the city lights on it. It was a very peaceful way to end the night.
"Thank you so much for showing me around Seoul tonight!" She smiled at him and thought about all of the memories they made tonight.
Her new friend just smiled in return, "No problem! I had lots of fun with you and it was much more interesting than staying at home."
The two of them faced the water again and Y/N rested her head in the crook of his neck.
"Hey Y/N?" Minghao spoke softly, "Would you like me to be your tour guide for the rest of the week?" The boy hoped the girl understood what he was really trying to say.
A faint blush rose to her cheeks and she nodded, "I would love that."
