happy carat and valentine's day! 💎💖

~

As a kid, you couldn't wait to celebrate Valentine's day with someone special. You've seen so many things on tv romanticizing the entire day. How your significant other should buy you a gift and take you out to dinner. How they should surprise you with balloons and chocolate, making a big scene in front of everyone. It was the day to show off to everyone how you are in love.

But as you grew up, that wasn't the case.

You saw how hard love could be and how difficult it was to find someone who truly loves you. People cried over love and had their hearts broken because of it. Valentine's day turned out to be something more painful to others than what you thought as a kid. You realized how superficial the day was and how it wasn't even that important.

So as you grew older, you didn't care for these types of things. Sure, you enjoyed a good surprise with a thoughtful gift, but it wasn't necessary. You didn't need your significant other to constantly shower you in things, always trying to look good to you and to others. You just wanted a genuine relationship. You didn't need to prove it to others.

When Hansol and you first met, you both had no intentions of being in a relationship. Of course you two had found each other cute and admired your personalities, but you didn't want to force anything. You were both people who went with the flow of life and let things happen naturally.

You two became really good friends quickly, with similar tastes in music and movies. Both of you were insightful and had some really good conversations with each other. Everything from the existence of humans to the way society acts when they're in love. You learned so much and balanced each other out. Helping each other grow as people and become the best person you could be.

Dating each other was never a present thought in your minds. It wasn't until Hansol saw you on a date with someone else when he realized that he wanted to be the one on a date with you. It wasn't until that date with that person when you realized that you couldn't stop thinking about Hansol and how you wanted him to be there with you.

The two of you haven't been dating for long, but it's felt like forever. From best friends to lovers, you've spent a lot of time with each other already. The transition in type of relationship was natural and not much changed. Hansol just got to kiss you whenever he wanted to (which was a lot, that boy loves kissing you). You got to tell your friends that they could stop teasing you because you were finally dating Hansol. Now you could confidently admit to them that the boy was the cause of your heart fluttering.

It was nothing but genuine love between you two. Something that was cherished and shown everyday towards each other. It felt natural for you two to be together, just like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly.
