I woke up to find the most beautiful woman laying next to me.

slightly drooling but hey she is still beautiful.

how did I get so lucky?

to find someone as amazing, sweet, caring, powerful woman?

and to think it all started with her forgetting who she was.

the first time I saw her smile was the day she captured my heart.

I got up and got dressed and made sure not to wake her.

and ran downstairs.

to find Luke in his PJ's, a bowl of cereal and a copy of rolling stone in front of his nose.

"Hey dad whats up?"

"Luke what are you doing up?"

"Once I wake up I am up there is no going back to sleep."

"Where is your sister?"

"Oh she is with Aunt Alicia to go get her dress fitted for the wedding."

"Why didn't you bud?"

"Dad seriously would you go? Don't get me wrong I love Lee and my aunts but I cant be surrounded by them and their non stop chatter about the wedding it drives me up the wall."

"hahaha you are your mother's son"

"Damn straight hahaha. So where are you off to?"

"I was gonna go find your mom a wedding present want to come?"

"Yeah give me two mintues."

he ran up stairs and and as he said two mintues later he came down in his black jeans, beatles band t-shirt, leather jacket and his ray bans, and his messy chin length hair black mop, gosh he looks like his mother.

"come on kid."

we hopped in the car

"So what do you think your mom would like?"

"she doesn't like flashy."

"Okay."

"something old, vintage is her thing. gifts from the heart those are the ones she treasure the most."

"Got it."

we soon ended up in a old antique store.

"Hey dad."

"Yeah whats up?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah kid shoot."

"how did you fall in love with mom?"

"oh wow...I remember the exact moment. I took her out for our first date at a carnival, in Portland, and then we were on the ferris wheel. she look so beautiful under the moon light and all the sparkling lights of the carnival. that was the night I was asked her be my girlfriend."

"Whoa."

"Hasnt your mom told you the story?"

"well kind of. but her's is different hahaha."

"Tell me."

"Oh no not gonna happen dad. hey what do you think about this?"

we both looked through the glass case and nodded.

"Its perfect for your moma."

"She is gonna love it.

we enjoyed singing along to the The Beatles on the way back

me and Luke never got to spend time like this by ourselves.

it was nice.

"Luke you are so much like your mom."

"People tell me that but when they see what I look like they say I look like you, and have your voice."

"Yeah they call you mini me."

"I like to think of myself as a younger more attractive you haha."

"Yeah I am not that old kid."

"haha. I like spending time like this with you."

"Me too kid we should do it more often."

I love my son.

thank you bells for giving him to me.

we got back to the house to find the girls gushing all over wedding details.

"Daddy!"

Lee ran to me.

I bent down and picked her up.

"Hey baby girl whats going on."

"I am so bored to death of them talking about the wedding. Where did you and Luke go?"

"So much like your mom you too. He went with me to help me pick out a wedding gift for mama."

"Really? what did you get her?"

Luke went up to her and showed her what we got her.

"Oh thats perfect she is gonna love it! Where are you gonna find it?"

"why dont you find a good place to hid it until the wedding."

"Okay come on Luke I know the perfect place and then we can finally finish some recordings."

"Alright sis. see ya dad!"

they ran off upstairs.

and I went to an art room Bells had set up a few days ago.

I went in and enjoyed myself.

I had to admit it been a while.

I was in the middle of painting when I felt arms go across my chest from behind me.

"Good morning sleeping beauty."

"Morning where did you go off to early in the morning."

"Oh nowhere just had a guy morning with Luke."

"I love you."

"Love you too Gee."

seriously how did I get so lucky?

I have everything I have ever wanted.

Family, kids, and a wonderful woman.

it doesn't get any better than this
