We kept dancing under those lights...

dancing under twinkling lights, to our song, with our family and friends there...this isn't a half bad wedding.

I couldn't ask for anything more.

"So how are you my dear?"

"Just...euphoric. this is all so wonderful."

"I want nothing but the best for you."

"I know. Who Alicia could plan a wedding?"

"I had some notion but who knew she would pull all this out in a matter of a week."

"hahaha yeah but most important thing is we are together now...forever."

"And ever."

someone tapped Gerard on the shoulder

"hey let me get a dance in with my sis..brother."

"Sure thing Matty, plus I think my mom wants a turn on the dance floor."

I smiled and turned to my brother.

"Well Mrs. Way how does it feel?"

"Let me tell you when I wake up. Its surreal."

"I am so proud of you Allison."

"Thanks Matty. I wish dad was here. you know it would have made everything perfect."

"I know. But we have memories, songs and one day we will see him."

"You're right. I dream about him sometimes. you?"

"All the time."

"it sucks...you know."

"yeah but we have the twins, you have Gerard and I have work."

"Matty you need more."

"I know. Maybe someday I will find my Gerard."

"I know you will...there is some crazy gal that will want to be a part of this. hahaha."

"I can only pray. hahaha."

everyone got a turn with the bride.

sure I stepped on a couple foots but they forgave me right away.

but the one who claimed me last was Will.

"Well my dear friend. You look gorgeous."

"Thanks Will."

"I am so happy for you."

he looked down...and I remembered how he felt.

"Are you really?"

"Of course I am. why would you think I wouldn't want you to be happy?"

I looked at him and it clicked

"Oh...I am fine. I care about you enough to want your happiness Bells. I am not an asshole. "

"I know but.."

"But what? You are happy and that makes me happy now shush and smile. Its your wedding and we are gonna enjoy it."

"Alright."

"I am going to fly back to Chicago after this...so don't forget to call and keep in touch."

"You are my best friend. I will call everyday. I love you Will."

"Love you too shortie."

I smiled. knowing that William loved me didn't change our friendship. He didn't pursue me because he knew I was still in love. He chose to be my best friend, and he was happy with his decision.

Gerard claimed me once again.

with smiles on our faces, with the camera shutters going off, and our friends and family smiling and enjoying our day with us.

With our twins dancing with us, and shoving cake in each others faces.

it was a glorious, beautiful, magical day...one I know I won't forget.
