One Shots: Maui x Moana

The Suitors Part 3

Moana's P.O.V

I wake up a little after sunrise and I walk to hut of the elders. As I enter I see my suitor waiting. It is Iokepa. I smile and he smiles back.

"Good morning Iokepa." I say.

"Good morning M'lady." He says as he takes a quick bow.

"Oh please! Its just Moana." I say.

"Alright...Moana. How did you sleep?" He asks.

"Very well thank you. And you?" I ask.

"I slept great. And got here first!" He says with a dashing smile.

"Well what do you have planned today?" I ask.

"I was thinking of a nice walk on the beach and then a special spot on Monotuni." He says.

"Sounds great!" I say.

"Shall we?" He asks as he offers his arm to me.

"We shall." I say as I take the offer. We head for the door when someone enters the hut.

"Oh!" I say.

"Um hi?" Says Iokua.

"Brother! Your a little too late! I guess you'll get your day tomorrow!" He says with a smile.

"Alright! See ya later!" He says. Iokepa clears his throat and nods at me.

"Oh! And have a great day, Moana!" He says with a smile. I so don't look forward with him. I look up and Iokepa smiles. We walk out and head to the village. We walk around and I see everyone smiling and laughing. Then I smile myself. As we walk by I see Maui telling a story to the children.

"Let's go listen to a story!" I say.

Iokepa smiles and we walk over to Maui who was telling the story of us saving the world.

"Then the sea split apart!" He said using his tattoo to demonstrate the parting of the sea. He notices us and smiles.

"And then, the beautiful and courageous Moana walked calmly across the ocean floor as Te ka crawled towards her! Then as Moana placed the Heart of Te Fiti inside the chest of Te ka the ash crumbled and appeared Te Fiti herself!" He says. I hear a lot of 'oohs' and 'ahhs' from the children.

Then a little girl says "I bet Te Fiti was really beautiful!" She says. Maui grabs the little girl and she giggles.

"She was but...I've seen someone more beautiful than her." Maui says.

"Really?! Who!" She asks as she bounces in Maui's lap.

"Well you for once." He says putting a flower in her hair. She giggles.

"Annddd! The girl in the story who is standing behind you." He says look up at me with a soft smile.

"Moana is more prettier than Te Fiti?!" Asks the little girl.

"She is...in my eyes that is." He says. Maui winks and I feel myself blushing.

"Well that is true fact but, unfortunately Moana had to say goodbye with me. And I was sad to see her go." He says. Mini Maui then a starts to cry overdramatically at the mini tattoo of me. I hold my hand up to hide a giggle.

"Shall we take our leave?" Iokepa asks. I nod and wave at the children. The I wink back at Maui. He chuckles and finishes the story.

Iokepa and I walk around and he was about to take me to the special spot but someone rushes over and says my father needs him.

"Agh! Awful timing!" He groan.

"Go we'll catch up later!" I say. He nods and rushes with the other guy. I sigh and decide to go back to Maui and his stories. As I enter I hear Maui starting a new story. I sit way back and we catch each others eyes for a minute.
