Moana's P.O.V

Every girl dreams about her wedding day. The flowers, the cake, the dress, the Bridesmaids, the Groomsmen, the dance, the joining of the two families, and most importantly the groom. But not me. I dread this day because it was arranged since my birth. I don't even know what the guy looks like, I don't even know what he does, and I don't even know if you'll make a good advisor when I am chief. I walk my parents hut.

"Moana you're just in time!" My father says.

I fake a smile and hug my mother and father.

"I'm so excited for the wedding!" I lie.

"We're so happy for you sweetheart!" My mother says. I smile and a man from the village comes rushing into my parents hut.

"He's here!" He says breathlessly. My parents smile and nod at the messenger.

"Come! Let us meet your future husband." My father says.

We walk down to the shore and there is a big canoe. Holding onto the mast is a man who is about my age with a tattoo covering his right shoulder. I look at the man. The canoe stops and rests on our beach. Some men come and unpack stuff. Then the man jumps down.

"Ah! Cheif Tui! Long time!" Says the stranger.

"Prince Aloni! My boy how is your father?" My father asks.

"He is doing well! And where is my fiance?" He asks.

"Right here! Moana, this is Prince Aloni, your future husband." He says gesturing to Aloni. I walk up and hold out a hand.

"Hello nice to meet you." I say. He grabs my hand and kisses it.

"Please! We're basically family so drop the Prince. Its just Aloni." He says as he grabs me by the waist and pulling me close. I squirm on the inside but, I just smile for the sake of my parents. My mother holds out her hand and Aloni shakes her hand with his free hand.

I want to scream and cry. I want to sail away. I want Maui! Where the hell is Maui anyways?! I need my best friend!

"So Moana! How old are you?" Aloni asks.

"Eighteen." I say.

"Ok! I'm twenty one but we can work this out right?" He says with a happy laugh. I give my parents a look and they just smile.

"Now what do you do for fun?" Aloni asks.

"I like to sail." I say. Aloni throws his head back and laughs.

"That's a good joke! Now what do you really do?" He asks. I look at my parents.

"It's true your highness!" My mom says. Aloni looks at me surprised.

"Well if I am to be king and you to be my princess, then I guess I'll make room in our schedule of royalty. Especially if we are to be married tomorrow." Aloni says.

"T-tomorrow?! I was thinking like next month or even next year!" I stutter. Anoli laughs again.

"No! Tomorrow! It is to commemorate the day that you saved the world." He says happily.

"Your highness! We need you!" Says a servant. He sighs.

"I must go. I shall see you all tomorrow." He says. He kisses my cheek and then he finally let's me go.

"Me?! A princess?!" I scream. My mother looks at my father.

"It is for the best!" He says.

"Father, please! You have to stop this wedding! I cannot marry a man who I do not love and just met! Please let me marry the man I love." I beg. He holds up a hand.
