Moana's P.O.V

"Maui?!" I exclaim. Maui walks in the hut. He smiles and walks up to me.

"Choose me. Why do you ask? I tell you." He says. He takes my hands into his and his eyes are soft but still have that mischievous glint.

"Moana, why you should choose me is not just because I'm a demigod, it's because of this. I see you as a chief, and not an object to be won. I'm all very compassionate, very wise, very strong, and most of all...very in love with...you." He says.

"Wait a minute! He can't do that!" Says Iokua standing up. Maui pulls away and looks at him with a smirk.

"Hold your tongue!" Iokepa hisses.

"B-but he's right! He c-could of asked the chief before hand." Stutters Ioane.

"Chief Tui please forgive them!" He begs.

"Enough!" I shout. Everyone looks at me in shock besides Maui who is smiling proudly.

"I am the daughter of the chief and I get go choose who I court and who I marry!" I say. "Now that there is a fourth suitor the game becomes interesting." I say.

The men look at me.

"It is MY lovelife and nobody I repeat NOBODY tells me who I CAN or CANNOT court!" I say. They all nod. "Here is my preposition; for the next four days I will spend the day with you personally. That means the other suitors CANNOT take me away from the other suitor. There will be no physical contact unless I make the first move. I can have my own personal time and I will say so! Any questions?" I say and ask.

"When will you choose who you will court with?" Asks my father.

"On the fifth day after sunset." I say.

"Alright! Gentlemen, you heard my daughter! Now tomorrow who ever gets here first, will have their date. Now get some rest." My father says. The brothers walk out and then Maui.

"Goodnight my little minnow." He says. "Goodnight dad." I say as I walk out.

Instead of walking to my hut, I walk to the shore. I feel the water and sigh. I walk in and stingrays swim by my feet. I take a deep breath and then let my body flow to current of the ocean. I dance for thirty minutes straight without interruption until I hear the bushes rustle. I ignore it because animals like lizards roam at night. I continue dancing for another hour. Then I stop to think.

"You dance beautifully." I hear someone say. I gasp and I spin around.

"Hey." Maui says.

"How long have you been there?!" I ask.

"About twenty seconds." He says closing his eyes for a long second. I stomp my way out if the water.

"You do know it is found rude to be stalking someone while they are doing something personal!" I hiss at as I poke him in the chest.

He looks at me with a twinkle in his eyes and a tease in his smile.

"Well I think...that you need a dance partner." He says.  I stumble back and I blush. Thank the gods that its dark out. He chuckles and grabs my hand.

"May I?" He asks. I want to decline his offer.

"Um...sure." I say. We walk down until the water is at our ankles. Then we stand side by side. I start to move and see Maui is a fast learner.

We mover for twenty minutes until I feel a warm hand on my waist. I let out a small startled gasp and I feel the hand starts to retract. I place my hand on top of Maui's and the hand moves back. We dance together which is something new for me for about an hour before we stop. I turn around and face Maui who looks happy.

"That was...different." I say.

"Different bad or different good?" He asks.

"Different good." I say looking at the moon feeling very sheepish.

"Well..." Maui says. I look at him.

"I had fun dancing with you." He says with a genuine smile.

"Me too." I say. I once again realize our closeness and I guess Maui does too. He places a hand on my cheek and leans forward.

"Maui I..." I start but he just kisses my forehead.

"Goodnight Moana." He whispers. He moves away and I grab his hand.

"Maui wait!" I say. He looks at me and moves closer. I grab his necklace and pull him downwards. His lips come crashing down on mine.

I then let his necklace go.

"Goodnight!" I say as I rush to my hut and close the door. My cheeks are on fire. Why the hell did I do that?! Is the only words that come to my mind as I fall asleep.
