I was the one who had it all

Maui stood looking out his slide screen door of his apartment. He had a glass of scotch in one hand the other leaning on the door. A deep crease made his forehead and his bright and happy chocolate eyes dark with anger. I firm thin line painting his mouth. Any person could tell by his body language he was upset. With who? He sighed and banned his fist lightly on the door.

He shut his eyes and the painful look on her face appeared. The awful flashback appeared once again of how he hurt her.

Flashback...

I was the master of my fate...
I never needed anybody in my life
I learned the truth too late
I'll never shake away the pain
I close my eyes but she's still there

"Thank you Maui!" Te Fiti said sweetly.

"You're welcome." He said. Te Fiti than planted her lips on his. Maui froze like a statue. Soon he heard a gasp. Maui gently pushed Te Fiti away. He spun and he saw her face. Her eyes.

"Wait! I can explain!" He said. She spun around and ran.

"Moana!" He shouted.

End of Flashback...

Maui grimaced and gave a frustrated shout. He opened his eyes and a photo caught his eye. It was a photo of her. He looked at it and stared. She was smiling and her eyes were bright and merry.

I let her steal into my melancholy heart
It's more than I can bear
Now I know she'll never leave me
Even as she runs away
She will still torment me
Calm me, hurt me
Move me, come what may

Flashback...

"Moana! Let me explain!" He begged.

"There is nothing to explain! You like Te Fiti and kissed her. You obviously want her more than me!" Moana said as she finished packing. She closed her suitcase.

"That's not true! Let me explain!" He said grabbing her hand. Moana spun around and tugged on her hand.

"Let me go!" She said.

"Moana please!" He begged. She looked at him and Maui slowly released her. Moana sighed and grabbed her bag.

"I'm returning home. My flight is tonight." She said not looking at Maui. Maui felt hurt. She was leaving and he never got to explain.

End of Flashback...

Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I'll fool myself, she'll walk right in
And be with me for evermore

Maui felt anger. Not at Moana. Not at Te Fiti. Anger at himself. He knew that Te Fiti liked him. He let her kiss him and he should of pushed her away the second she kissed him. He was so stupid. He hurt Moana and he didn't blame her for wanting to go home. He didn't try and stop her. He didn't deserve her. He was mad that he failed. He kept cursing and saying that things if he tried harder.

I rage against the trials of love
I curse the fading of the light

Soon a blinking light caught his eye. It was plane. Maui knew it was Moana's. He sighed knowing that she wouldnt come back. Soon a light rain started. Maui sighed and looked at the city. Soon a certain thing caught his eye.

Though she's already flown so far beyond my reach
She's never out of sight

Now I know she'll never leave me
Even as she fades from view
She will still inspire me
Be a part of everything I do
Waisting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door

Maui saw a familiar umbrella. It couldn't be her! Could it?

I'll fool myself, she'll walk right in

He peered closer and the woman slowly moved the umbrella. Maui only need two seconds before he ran out of his apartment. He rushed down the the stairs as quick as his legs could carry him. He rushed passed people being careful. He hurried not taking any chances.

And as the long, long nights begin

He zipped the corner and ran down the stairs. He saw the bottom of the stairs. He heard the mailroom door open.

I'll think of all that might have been

Maui hurried and soon skidded to a stop. His chocolate eyes met the warm wiskey brown eyes he knew. He let out a breath and smiled. His eyes soon teared up.

"You came back." He said in a shuttery breath. She smiled sadly and wiped the tears away. Maui sighed and held her hands, afraid that if he let go she would leave once again. Maui looked at her disappointed.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

"I am too." She said softly. Maui looked at her. She smiled as he looked at her confused.

"I ran into Te Fiti as I caught a taxi to the airport. She explained everything. So I am sorry for not giving you a chance. Can you forgive me?" She asked. Maui smiled and more tears fell.

"Of course.  I would wait for you. I love you." He whispered. Moana smiled and the two talked quietly.

Oh my lord! I am a horrible person! School and my job got in the way of my free time. Here you are! I will publish more oneshoys! School is coming to an end! Alright guys, I'll see you all in the next oneshot.
