Saved By a Boy Part 2

Maui's P.O.V.

I walk out to the field and see everyone doing push ups. I walk over and join them. As everyone is getting their gear on I walk over to Tom, Juan, and Joaquin. They see me and walk over to me.

"Next time I see you three do something's stupid, I'm going to kick you off the team! Got it?" I growl. They nod their heads and I smile.

"Good. Now finish getting ready! We got a game to play!" I say calm and casually.

As I finish getting ready I hear someone calling my name.

"Maui!" I turn my head and smile. Its Moana. I walk over to her and smile.

"Hey!" She said out of breath.

"Hi." I say. She looks up at me and smiles. I smile back.

"I just wanted to wish you good luck." She says. I smile brightly at her.

"I got all the luck in the world right here." I say poking her in the stomach. She giggles and I smile. I poke her once more and she laughs. I chuckle and ruffle her hair.

"HEY! MAUI! QUIT CHIT CHATTING WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND LETS PLAY SOME BALL!" I hear Coach yell. I look at Moana who's face I flushed red. I smile.

"COMING COACH!" I yell over my shoulder. I look at Moana and smile.
"I gotta go but we'll talk later." I say. She nods her head. I smile and peck her cheek leaving her in awe.

Time Skip...

Its half time and Coach pulls us into a huddle. "Alright boys! We are at tie game. We got this in the bag if we keep our eyes on the prize. Alright?" Coach asks.

"Hurah!" We shout.

"Alright bulldogs on three!".

"1,2,3 Bulldogs!" We shout. We head back in the field and line up.

"23! 42! HUT!" I yell.

Time Skip...

"Great work boys! I'm proud!" Says Coach. We all head to our families and I hear someone calling out for me.

"Maui!". I turn around and see Moana. I run up to her.

"Hey!" I say. She smiles and I smile.

"Great job!" She says. I smile.

"Hey um about earlier, if what I did made you uncomfortable I'm sorry." I ramble.

"Oh! Actually, I didn't mind at all! I actually enjoyed it." She said. I smile and cup her cheek.

"I know we just met but, I really like you Moana. Maybe more than as a friend." I say. She blushes and slowly smiles.

"I feel the same way, Maui." She says. I smile and take her hands into mine.

"Moana, I know we just met but I-" I start.

"Hey look! Its the freshmen!" I hear Tom snarl. Moana turns pale.

"Get behind me!" I say quickly. She nods and does what I say.

"Come on Maui! We won't hurt her. We just want to shake her up a little bit!" Say Tom.

"Yeah!" Says Juan. Joaquin looks uncomfortable and runs off. I look where he's running and turn my attention back to Tom and Juan.

"Back off!" I growl.

"What's going on here?!" Says Coach. We all turn our attention to Coach. I see out of the corner of my eye that Tom and Juan turned pale.

"Tom! Juan! My office! Now!" He growls. They walk away and I see Joaquin. "Thank you!" Says Moana. He nods his head and walks away.

"So, you were saying something?" She asks me. I turn my attention back to her and smile. I take a deep breath and look at her.

"Moana, I know we just met but I like you. Really like you. I think your smart, beautiful, funny, and fun to be around with. I understand if you say no and never talk to me again but I would be honored if you would become my girlfriend." I say.

I look up and see her beaming.

"Maui, I'd love too." She says. I smile and spin her around. She laughs and I chuckle. We share a hongi and I look into her chestnut eyes.

"I love you." I say. She blushes and smiles.

"I love you too." She says.

"Hey Squirt." I hear Coach say.

"Hey Dad." I say.

"Dad?!" I hear Moana say. I laugh and she giggles.

"Great job honey!" I hear Mom say.

"Thanks Mom. Where your parents?" I ask.

"Right, here!" I hear a man say. I turn around and smile.

"Hey, I'm Tui and this is my wife Sina." Says Tui gesturing to his wife.

"Hello, I'm Brad, the coach and Maui's father and this is my wife Lana." Says Dad.

"Hi! It nice to meet you." Says Mom.

"So your Maui." Says Tui looking at me. I nod my head.

"Yes Sir." I say. He smiles at me.

"Thank you for standing up for my girl. I appreciate you for doing that." He says.

"It wasn't a problem Sir. But I have to ask you something." I say. The adults give the two of us a look. I grab Moana's hand and look at Tui. "I think Moana is smart and pretty. I like how she can stand up to the scariest guys. I love her. And it would be an honor if I had your permission to date your daughter." I say.

"Please Daddy. He's sweet, kind, smart, and very brave. He loves me for me." She says. Tui looks at Sina and they look at my Dad and Mom.

"He's a straight A student. And has a clean record." My Dad explains. Tui looks at me and nods his head at us. Moana jumps into her parents embracing them. Then she jumps up to me and hugs me tightly.

I smile and look at my parents. They're talking to Tui and Sina about boring adult stuff. I look at Moana and take her hand. We walk to the concession stand and I look at her.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to go change and shower." I say. She nods her head and pecks my cheek.

Ten Minutes Later...

I come out and Moana is on her phone still standing at the concession stand. I smile and sneak up behind her.

"Boo." I say in her ear. She jumps and looks at me. I laugh and she pouts. I grab her waist and kiss her nose lightly.

"You're cute when you pout. She slowly smiles and we share another hongi.

"I love you." She says.

"I love you too." I slowly close my eyes and gently press my lips on hers. She kisses me back and I feel her arms wrap around my neck. We pull back and smile.

"Come on. Let's head on back." I say. She nods her head and we walk hand in hand.

"There you are! We were just coming to look for you." Says Sina. We smile and I look at Moana.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I say.

"See you tomorrow." She says. Our parents look at us.

"You know it is a Friday night." Says Mom. We look at each other in confusion.

"How about we order pizza? Us adults can talk while you two have fun." Says Tui. Moana looks at me with a big smile and I return the smile.
