Thunderstorms

Third Person

"Come on Meena!" Moana shouts.

"I-I don't know Mo. My mama said that the water is dangerous... especially at night." Meena Moana's best friend says.

"Don't worry! It's safe!" Moana smiles. Meena smiles and the two girls run. The push their canoe off and smile. They high five one another. The two paddle out and slowly pass the reef.

"See! I told you!" Moana says.

"Yeah... I guess you did." Meena says with a smile. The two girls giggle.

BOOM!

The two look up. Many big and dark clouds start to form. Then it starts to rain. Huge bolts of lightning light the sky.

"Come on! We have to head back!" Meena shouts.

"No! We can make it!" Moana shout. A huge wave hits the canoe. The girls scream and submerge water. Moana gasps for air.

"Meena?!" She shouts. She sees Meena knocked out cold and slowly slips under the waves.

"Meena!" She shouts. She swims and dives down. She reaches for Meena's hand but it was too late. Meena had drowned.

Moana sailed back to her village and sees Meena's parents and hers. She looks down and sobs.
