"Yep! I cannot let Moana go and get married to a random stranger. I love her! But I need to stop this wedding. But I want live with her and age with her. But how? I know! I'll talk to Tui and then sail to Te Fiti asking her to make me mortal! I am good!" I say to myself. I walk to the beach and just watch the waves. I sigh and shape shift into a lizard and climb up a tree. I watch the moon and slowly fall asleep. I repeat my plan over and over throughout the night.

I yawn and I wake up to meet a pair of whiskey brown orbs and a smile.

"AAAHHH!!!" I scream and lose my balance and fall out of the tree.

"Oof! Ouch." I croak. I hear a laugh and noticed that I'm in my human form.

"Morning Sleepyhead." Moana shouts. I glare but give her a smile.

"Morning Princess!" I shout. She climbs down and smiles. I smile and ruffel her hair. She laughs and swats my hand away.

"Hey uh do you know where your father is?" I ask.

"My father? He should be at the docks with my mother." She says. I nod and she cocks a brow.

"May I ask you why you need to know this information?" She says.

"Oh! Nothing special just need to talk to him." I say casually.

"About what?" She asks.

"You know...guy stuff. And some advice. That's all." I say.

"My dad doesn't talk about guy stuff. Now whats the truth?" She snoops. I sigh.

"Its about...a person I care for." I say.

"Maui...is this about my wedding?" She asks. I nod my head slowly.

"I wish that I could marry the guy I love but I can't. We sail for Mãnana tomorrow which is a week trip from here. And there is nothing you can do." She mumbles.

"I can talk to your dad! I can ask to stop the marriage!" I start.

"AND THEN WHAT?!" She shouts.

"THEN YOU CAN MARRY A GUY WHO LOVES YOU LIKE I LOVE YOU!" I shout back. Her eyes grow in shock and I back away.

"Moana I-" I start but never finish. She runs up to me and I wait for the slap. But there is no slap. I open my eyes and see Moana has tears in her eyes.

"I didn't mean to make you cry!" I say as I start to panic. She pulls on my necklace and she plants her lips on mine. I freeze and I feel tears on my face that aren't mine. Moana pulls back and hugs me tightly.

"I love you too." She whispers. I smile and hug her tight. We stand for a moment and then we pull back.

"I'll ask your father to stop the wedding." I say as I wipe her tears. She smiles and I smile back. She leans in closer and I do the same. Thank the gods that we are the only  people here.

"Moana! Where are you?!" I hear. She groans and I laugh.

"Go on. I have to talk with your father." I say. She nods and runs off. I walk to the docks and see Chief Tui and his wife Sina help loading the canoes. I walk up and meet the cheif.

"Chief Tui. Can I talk to you?" I ask. He looks at with a smile.

"Sure! I just need to finish putting the supplies on the boat." He says.

"I'll help!" I say. I walk over and help carry the big stuff. We finish by dinner time.

"So! What do you need?" Tui asks.

"Well, um your daughter was crying yesterday." I say. He looks at me shocked.

"About what?" Sina asks.

"Her marriage to Kaapo. She explained to me this morning that she was in love with a different man." I say.

"Well who is he?" Tui asks as he cocks a brow. "Well...its." I start. He looks at me and Sina smiles.

"Tui! Can't you see?!" She says happily. I look at her. "Its you, isn't it?" She says.

"H-how did you know?!" I sputter.

"Call it a woman's intuition." She smirks. I look at Tui and looks as surprised as I am.

"Is this true?" He says. I feel my mouth go dry so I only nod my head. He looks at me grimly.

"I didn't do anything! I swear! But I have to ask you if I could marry your daughter! I only need a week!" I day. Tui looks at me curiosly.

"I am going to sail to Te Fiti and to ask her, to make me mortal. I love your daughter so much that I want to grow old and die with her." I explain.

"One week! And if you are not back by then, the wedding is still on." He says. I nod and rush over to a canoe. I pack up and its sunset by the time I'm done packing.

"Maui?" I hear.

I spin around and see Moana looking at me.

"Hey." I say. She walks up and looks at me curiously.

"I'm heading to Te Fiti to ask her a favor." I say.

"What kind of favor?" She asks.

"A favor that will change the lives for the both of us." I say. She walks up closer to me.

"When will you be back?" She asks. Before next week." I say.

She sighs and I grab her hands.

"Moana, just know...that I love you." I say. She looks at me and sighs.

"I love you too." She says with a smile. I smile back and quickly place my lips on hers. We stand for a minute and I pull back.

"I'll be back before you miss me." I say. She nods. I smile and I push off. I watch as Moana slowly grows smaller and smaller until I cannot see her anymore. Te Fiti, here I come!
