Hey guys! I'm back and editing is all done! I fixed formatting and I hope I found all grammar errors! Sorry for the wait! Anyways the song is called Come Back To Me by David Cook. Enjoy and now onto the one shot!

Moana's P.O.V

I walk around my village answering questions and doing my duties. Being chief isn't bad. It has its days but I don't know how else to help my village. I really didn't have a choice in the first place. I smile and sigh. I walk around and climb up the mountain where the past chiefs placed their stones. I sit down and watch my village from afar in quiet. I sit in silence for about ten minutes. Then I hear something.

"Hey Mo." I hear. I look up and smile.

"Hey Maui." I say. He walks over to me and sits next me. We stare out to into the distance in silence. Maui breaks the silence after a bit.

"So. What are you thinking about?" He asks. I look at him and smile a small smile.

"Nothing much. Just something my father told me." I say.

"What did he say?" Maui asks. I smirk a little.

"He says I should find someone to court. He's wanting me to find someone to help me with my duties." I say.

"Oh...is that a bad thing?" Maui asks.

"No it's not that a bad thing." I say.

"Then what's the problem? Do you not have anyone in mind or what?" Maui asks.

"I'm just not ready for a relationship." I say.

"Curly, are you telling me that you have commitment issues?" Maui asks with a laugh. I glare at him.

"I don't have commitment issues! I'm just not ready to pursue a relationship!" I say. Maui looks at me with a frown.

"No need to be so defensive Mo. I was just teasing." He says.

"Yeah, sure." I say.

"Hey! You don't need to get mad at me! I'm just trying to help!" He says.

"By teasing me that I can't be committed to someone? That I can't have my mind set on someone or something?" I say incrudeiously.

"No! I just tried to make you laugh!" He says.

"Well I'm not laughing!" I say. He grunts. He stands up and grabs his hook. He looks down at me.

"You know what? I'm going to let you be a snobbish jerk on your own. When you're done being one, come find me. It's your choice." He says. I glare at him and Maui shape shifts into a hawk. He flies off and I give a frustrated shout. I sit angrily and fume about what Maui said.

"I can too commit to a relationship! I'm just not ready!" I say to myself. But then I stop.

What am I not ready for? I mean, I do have my duties. But that wouldn't stop my partner from wanting to spend time with me! They would help and support me. They would be happy and excited to see me whenever they could. Even when I'm angry! Oh Gods Maui was right! And I did act like a snobbish jerk! I gotta go apologize to him! It's the right thing and the only choice I have.

I get up to my feet and walk down the mountain. I walk around my village and start asking if anyone has seen Maui. I walk down the beach and the sound of someone stops me.

"Moana wait up!" I hear.

I turn around and I smile. Kaleo runs up to me and holds up a finger as he breathes in heavily. As soon as he catches his breath he looks up at me and smiles.
