One Shots: Maui x Moana

Lionized Part 5

Moana's P.O.V.

As I walk back to Pride Rock I hear a noise. It's a twig broken between a foot. I quietly and stealthily creep towards the noise. I see a figure. It's a lioness. I creep closer and see that it was a lioness. I walk up to her.

"Hello." I say. The lioness looks at me and gasps. She backs away and I grow a little worried.

"Please! Don't be frightened! I won't harm you!" I say gently.

She takes a step closer and I notice that she is older than me but still young like Nea.

"Please! I need a place to stay!" She says. I smile.

"I was just heading home. Follow me!" I say. She nods her head and I talk to her. Her name is Kala. Its funny, but I'm pretty sure I heard of the name before.

We enter Pride Rock and I see little fireflies lighting the cave. We only do this if we are planning, having a party, or for late night talks when everyone is having a good time.

"Stay here." I say. Kala nods her head. I walk in and His Majesty is the first to notice me.

"Moana! There you are! Maui and Moyo were going to come looking for you." He says happy and calm.

"Um Your Majesties?" I say/ask.

"Yes?" Simba and Nala say in unison.

"As I was walking back home and I bumped into someone. She needs a place to stay and I brought her with me. Is it ok if she stays for the night?" I ask. Nala smiles.

"I don't see why not." She says.

"Thank you." I say bowing my head.

"Its ok!" I call out. Kala comes in and Nea gasps.

"Kala? Is that really you?" She says getting up.

"Nea?" Says Kala. Nea smiles. She and Kala smile at one another.

"M-mother?!" Maui says both in shock and timidly.

Kala looks at Maui and gasps.

''Is it really you?" Maui asks as he gets up. Kala slowly makes her way over to Maui.

"You have Negasi's eyes." She says. Maui smiles at the name of his father.

"Gosh! You look just like your father, Mpenzi!" She says softly. Maui and Kala stare at one another for a minute before they fall into a warm embrace.

"Where did you go, Kala? You just disappeared one night and never returned." Asks Mshindi. Kala sighed and looked at everyone.

"I received news that a friend of mine died. I went to the funeral but something happened. There were these weird looking things shooting these things that make you sleepy. I tried my best to avoid them but I got hit."

We all lie down and Maui lays next to me as Kala continues her story.

"I woke up and found myself in this thing were there is a hard rock that is clear but I couldn't escape. I was trapped for years. But one day I'm hit again with one of those sleepy things. I wake up and found myself back at where the funeral was held.
I rush back to the den but you guys weren't there. So I wandered looking for my family and pride. Then I found myself here and I'm reunited with my pride and son." She says.

"Oh Kala. If we only knew!" Said Mshindi.

"Speaking of family, where's Negasi? I missed him much!" Kala asks. I flinch. I feared and hoped she wouldn't ask that question.

"Kala...I don't know how to say this but, Negasi... he...he's-" Nea tries to start.

"Mom..." Maui says.
