In a Large Pot

A/N Two versions. Upper version in Ilonggo. And lower in Filipino.

Ilonggo Version

RJ sits on the garden bench as he looks at Menggay and Bastian. They are separating the worms from the compost. The small boy filches a wriggler and puts it in his pocket. Menggay chatters about worm food like banana peels and torn paper.

He looks at his celphone and reads the message again. Trish has broken up with him.

He closes his eyes, clenches his jaw and takes a deep breath. His mind starts to ask the hows and whys of their breakup.

Just then, Bastian passes the loudest "pooooot" he has ever heard and then scratches his backside.

He and Menggay burst out laughing at the unexpected sound.

She wipes her twinkling eyes as she asks him "Kita mo buli niya?"

"Huo. Nag uyug-uyug," he chuckles.

RJ feels better after that comical release. He looks at the two again. He is thankful for Bastian and his emphatic digestive system. He is thankful for his Menggay...just because.
