The last time Menggay says "I Love You" is the day her mom dies.
The only time RJ will say "I Love You" is if she says it first.
Something happens over a bowl of ramen.
Menggay wants a simple wedding dress. The neighborhood modista makes her gown.
It arrives and she props it up.
She thinks to embellish it a bit with just a little color. She starts to paint dainty leaves on the hem.
She decides against roses and chooses bouquets of santan blooms instead.
She smiles.
Hmmm. Maybe a bit more of the garden feel.
She giggles as she includes a bunny munching a celery stalk on one side.
She paints a sleeping stray cat as well.
Some wriggly worms with googly eyes peek through potato leaves.
RJ's basketball bounces with her volleyball.
Isaw sticks float with steaming ramen bowls.
The focal point is a tall aratiles tree. Underneath it is a girl and a boy. She has her arm stretched out to pick berries. The boy lets her sit atop his shoulders.
She shows her handiwork to her sisters.
They look at the gown and declare,
"Ikaw na ikaw."
A/N My cousin, an artist friend and I are at a visa application place. We have been here from 830AM. It is now 12:41.
My cousin made this interpretation of Menggay's dress in my phone. She is bored waiting 😂
My artist friend keeps on giggling. I think she prefers to do this on an actual work table.
