There are shouts and the neighborhood men run to Bastian's house. Chairs fly out. Kapitan is running amok.
Menggay and Tita Ruby crane their necks. They see a huffing Bastian run towards their house and they yell for him to go faster.
When he reaches their gate, he tries to get through the grills but his tummy gets stuck.
Tita Ruby runs inside to get the key as Menggay and Baste embrace through the grills.
Finally, Tita Ruby opens the gate. It swings with the perspiring boy still hanging on.
Menggay brings him inside their house and gives him water to calm him down. He looks up to her, his face earnest, as if trying to stop his tears from falling.
Menggay panics. "Are you okay?"
"Daw ma mus-on ko."*
