RJ and Menggay walk hand-in-hand from the Church when the rain falls. They take cover under the awning of a sari-sari store. Menggay asks for pan de coco.
"Kakululbaan sang pari."
While chewing, she mimics the priest's booming voice. "Tell the truth in the small things, so that you will be trustworthy in the big."
RJ blurts out.
"Nag offer ang kumpanya sang obra sa Singapore. Gin indi-an ko sila."
Menggay coughs in surprise and spews the bread.
He asks for softdrinks and hands her the plastic bag and straw.
"Inom anay, Menggay."
She drinks and slaps his arm.
"Nakibot ko! Nga-a nangindi ka?"
"Indi mayo timing. Bakod sang dlagan sang Rameng Designs. Tunga-tunga ka pa sa thesis mo."
"Nangindi ka tungod sa akon? Ahay, RJ."
She wraps her arms around him.
"RJ, ako bala gusto ko mag Singapore."
"Ha? Pa'no ang negosyo? Kag ang school mo?
"Hapos lang guid na pro. Istoryahan ta?"
The rain stops and the sun shines again.
They leave still wrapped in each others' arms.
"Pssst, pssst."
They look back at the silhouette behind the store grills.
"Guy and Pip, ka sweet kaayo. Bayad niyo?"

"Nagulat ako! Bakit ka umayaw?"
"Hindi maganda yung timing. Lumalakas ang takbo ng Rameng Designs. Kalagitnaan pa ng thesis mo. "
"Umayaw ka ng dahil sa akin? Ay, RJ."
She wraps her arms around him.
"RJ, alam mo ako gusto ko mag Singapore."
"Ha? Pa'no na ang negosyo? Tsaka ang school mo?
"Madali na yun. Pag-usapan natin?"
