RJ finishes high school in Manila. In an unexpected turn of events, his parents fix their marriage. His dad sells their Negros home and they settle in Parañaque.
The boy who sees leaping letters takes up a five-year course in university.
While hanging out with former high school mates, he meets Ibong Adarna again and she becomes his girlfriend.
He breaks up with her when he catches her in flagrante delicto in her dorm's Open House. She strays she says because he is boring.
His next girlfriend is from his business org. She breaks up because she finds his habits too weird.
She hates their dates in the Manila Seedling Bank and finds it strange that he eats flowers of ordinary shrubs.
RJ sends Menggay pictures of his life with little notes.
He calls her once in a while but she gives mono-syllabic answers.
He thinks that he is now just part of her childhood memories.
He believes that Menggay has moved on.
