RJ celebrates with Menggay and his parents at a restaurant. He joins a recruitment competition and aces all his tests and interviews. His prize is a job offer at a multinational corporation upon graduation.
When Menggay excuses herself to go the ladies room, he asks his Mama to hand him the diamond. His Papa brings out the setting designs they got from a jeweler.
They all look guilty when Menggay comes back to the table.
"Inday Menggay, pila ka na gani?" His Mama questions.
"19 na ko Tita."
"Dumduman mo sang birthday party ni RJ sang una? His Papa asks.
"Ang hambal mo, mapakasal kamo pag 18 ka na."
They all laugh and Menggay covers her face.
RJ clears his throat.
"Menggay, may pamangkot ko sa imo."
She looks at him with doe eyes.
"Kung ma assign ko sa China, ma-upod ka sa akon?"
