It's Menggay's first day in high school. RJ brings her to her room. He hands her lunchbox and water.
Menggay's new classmates gawk at him as he swipes her hair away from her face and tucks it behind her ear.
She sits and hears the other girls giggling about the dimple on his left cheek.
While waiting for her teacher, she writes his name on her notebook.

She crosses out a word.

She places a heart at the bottom.
She hears the girls behind her whisper. They say she's just his neighbor. They know he has no girlfriend at the moment.
She looks at what she has written. Her eyes mist and she scrunches them.
She tears out and crumples the page.
Menggay stares at the empty blackboard in front and takes a deep breath.
She writes,
