Menggay leaves the school theater tired after lugging forest props for the play "Ibong Adarna". The student who plays the mystical bird is in a hurry and she hits Menggay's shoulder.

Adarna is making a beeline for RJ. She talks to him in a singsong voice and giggles at whatever he's saying. Menggay purses her lips.

"Ay, ara na alaga mo, RJ" Adarna teases.

"Menggay!" RJ shouts.

She ignores him and walks towards the exit.

"Menggay. Yoohoo."

She is almost through the door.

"Maine!"

She stops and looks at RJ. He takes her bag, lunch box and thermos and brings her home.

The next day, Menggay wakes up early, determined to go to school without RJ. Her classmates have been calling him her yayo.

During first period, a hand knocks at the open door of her classroom. RJ's head pops in, he smiles wide at the teacher "Excuse me, Mam."

He looks for Menggay and spots her on the second row.

"Nalipatan mo, Ms. Maine." He holds up her lunchbox and thermos.

"Yeeheeee." The class says.

A/N "Nalipatan" means nakalimutan. "Ara" in this instance means "Andyan"
