Three weeks later

"You did what?" Ian gasps at me. I just shrug in a panic, I didn't know what to do or who to tell so I spent five minutes banging on Ian's door.

"She begged me and then it all just kinda happened." I shrug and he gasps. I feel like an idiot, we didn't even use protection. I shouldn't have done it in the first place but none of it seemed wrong until it was over. "What if she gets pregnant?" I fall against the wall behind me, I look like a drama queen but what I could put her through, she doesn't deserve that.

"She'll probably have to get an abortion." I shake my head at him.

"You know just as well as I do that she will not get an abortion." I sink to the ground in shame. It's gonna be all my fault when she has to go through all of this pain and all sorts of problems because she won't kill this child.

"Well if you actually cared as much as you say you do," I cut him off.

"I care, I care just as much as I say I do and I love her!" I growl, I know he's just scared and confused, but so am I. I never meant to do anything that might hurt her.

"Love you too," her voice is weak and barely there but as I turn she's kneeling behind me cleaning her glasses lenses so she can see me. "No fault," she shakes her head at Ian. "Me," she nods as does he even though we're both equally as confused. "I want baby," she nods making my eyes go wide.

"No, no princess you don't." I place a hand on her shoulder and the other around her hip to help her stay balanced. "It hurts so much," she nods leaning against me, which is her version of a hug. We just adopted our year old girl and she's amazing, she's been picking up a lot of sign language and she even sits with Reese to learn.

"Pain, life," she whispers in my ear making me smile.

"What if you're not pregnant?" I rub my hands over her back. She'd probably be a little upset if she found out that she isn't carrying a baby.

"Try again," she shrugs and I chuckle kissing her cheek down her neck all the way to her collar bone.

"That is never gonna happen again." I shake my head making her giggle.

"You think," her head nuzzles into my shoulder. I just smile lifting her up then turning to look at Ian.

"You know I didn't mean it," he reassures and I nod. "I just got worked up," he sighs.

"I was nervous too, I don't blame you." I brush my thumb over her shoulder blade. Her soft snore makes me smile while I run my hand over her back. "Thanks for listening." I smile walking back to the condo. I can see Chrissy's head poke out and she smiles at us.

"Why don't you do that to me," she pushes Ian teasingly before she shuts the door quickly in his face so he's locked out.

"Shawn," he groans walking towards me but I shut the door as well. Reese rolls her eyes hitting my back.

"In," she points making me laugh. I open the door but while I look he holds Chrissy like I do Reese as they kiss in the hallway. "Ew,"

"We do that too princess." I chuckle leaving the door open for them.

"Gross?" She gasps in shock. "No," she shakes her head and I nod.

"Just like that." I smile, we used to do that is really what I should say but I can't let her feel like it's much different now. This morning, regardless of what I told Ian I don't regret any of it, besides not using protection, although I think she planned it like that. This morning I kissed my baby girl harder than I have in three years, and she really enjoyed it. It was slow, I'd never do anything rough with her, but it was full of love and regardless of the pace we were both breathless.

"In?" She pouts at our friends. I peek back out and they still sit making out in the middle of everything.

"They'll come in later." I nod at her bringing her farther in to change her diaper and give her, her bath.

"Princess," I call and slowly she crawls out holding our little girl, she moves like an ape holding their child against their shoulder. "Hi baby," I smile lifting Angelina out of Reese's arms, her parents gush over the little girl as do mine. "Can you say hi?" I wave and she does the same. She's a very happy girl and she loves Reese so much which is all I could ask for. "Look, this is your nana," I point at Reese's mom. "And granddad," I point to her dad. "And this is your granny and avo." I point at my own parents. Avo is the Portuguese way of saying grandfather and that's how the kids know him because that's what Reese calls him when she talks about him, or when she did at least.

"Hi little one," my dad smiles giving her a wave and slight handshake. She giggles jumping and hitting my shoulders. "You're excited," he smiles playing with her a little bit.

"Have you told her?" Our parents look down at Reese who amuses herself with the trucks on the ground.

"She's got some secrets of her own," I hand Angelina to my mom and lift up my princess. "Don't you?" I kiss her cheek. "Don't you?"

"Yeah," she giggles making her parents cry as well as my own. "Sad?" She pouts at everyone. "Love you," she giggles, it usually perks me up but when it does nothing for them she looks sad. "No cry," she pouts turning to me in a panic.

"They're happy baby girl," I reassure and she nods still not convinced. Tears mean sadness and smiles mean happiness in her eyes. "Come on," I sit her on the couch. "It's lunch time," I grab the puréed anything that I have to feed her, she can't eat solids. "Open?" I sit her on my knees trying to feed her. She eats an hour later than the kids do and it's at the same time everyday.

"You're very very good to her." Her mom smiles kissing my head. "I know she loves you for it, and so do we."
