Mac pov.

A week had passed since Skye showed up at my door step. She spent most of that time staying at my house and recovering from the physical and emotional trauma of it all. I will admit that I was not the happiest when Matty called us in today but the fact that she insisted we bring Skye along with us was either very good, or very bad.

We all sat around the war room. Matty stood upfront and Jack stood with his arms crossed tightly over his chest in the front right corner of the room. Bozer and Riley stayed close on the left side of the room and Skye and I sat on the couch in the center.

"Many things have happened in the last month," Matty began looking at all of us sternly, "Some good, some irreversible, and some well... We won't mention those things."

Everyone sat in silence listening to her and knowing which things were which.

"With that said one of the most irreversible things which has taken place is Skye's new found discovery of the Phoenix foundation and our true purpose here," The boss stated looking at Jack as if blaming him.

"Matty," Skye spoke up from beside me, "I promise I won't go off and-"

"I wasn't finished," Matty held her hand up to the girl and she stopped mid sentence.

"In light of Skye's new knowledge and my new knowledge of her history-"

"Your what?" Skye interjected. She hadn't known Matty long enough to know that she knows everything about everyone, its her job.

"-I am left with no other choice," The woman seemed serious and all I could think about was back to when Bozer first found out. After everything she has already been through and all that she did for us, for me, I was not about to let her be treated like that.

"Matty-" I stood up quickly, "you can't be serious!"

"I'm sorry Mac but the decision has already been made," she said causing me to step back with my head down and move out of her way from seeing the girl still sitting on the couch. Her eyes were wide with wonder and confusion. She had no idea what was about to happen.

"Skye," Matty spoke so softly yet so sternly, I didn't know how she did it, "Welcome to the Phoenix Foundation."

The room was silent for a moment as the words entered everyone's ears. My head shot back up and Skye's lips parted to form a large grin across her face.

"Are you serious?" She said with excitement in her voice, "but I don't have training or the skill sets of everyone here."

"I went through your history," Matty said with a smile, "You passed a hunter safety corse at the age of eleven, took basic gun shooting classes and graduated at the top of your class there and in high school," she paused for a moment, "it might not be much but-"

"But its sure more than I've got," Bozer interrupted and everyone chuckled.

"I can train you in basic and advanced combat but you poses something that I can't teach," Matty looked directly at Skye and everyone else's attention turned there as well, "Courage. What you did to save Macgyver even though you were putting yourself on the line, while pure stupidity," Matty rolled her eyes, "I've learned to work with both the stupid and the brave," her gaze traveled to Jack and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Um thank you Matty," Skye smiled, standing to her feet, "I'll be honest, I was not expecting that."

"Well, you're living here now and already know all about us. I don't see any better option here."

And that was that.

I stood inside the smallish room along with Jack, Mac, and Matty. There was a one way glass window in front of me and I could see my own reflection from this side of it. Jack and I stood away from the other two as he gave me some pointers to help me with what was about to happen.
