Hey y'all! So I want to make a chapter warning without giving away whats about to happen before you get there. So just be warned there are some things coming up that may upset, and or anger many people. I understand if any or all of you hate me after reading this chapter, it was very hard to write and I almost hate myself for it. (My sister informed me I was a terrible person for this chapter)

But still I hope all of y'all enjoy the chapter and don't hate me too much once you finish reading it. Here is goes.

Skye pov.

Day three had finally arrived. The doctors had told Mac and I that if the baby remained healthy and nothing went wrong then come day three of being in this dreadful place, Stone and I would be free to leave. Unfortunately an exhausted Mac had carelessly knocked over his morning coffee, which Jack had so graciously brought him, over onto our packed bags with my clothes in it that I was suppose to wear to go home. So while I was finishing up some paperwork for the hospital Jack and Mac were running back to the house to grab some more clothes for myself.

I was still really tired so the moment I finished up that paperwork I glanced over at Stone to make sure he was still sleeping soundly in his miniature hospital baby bed and I settled back down into my own bed to rest my eyes. Once I'd finally drifted off to sleep a soft noise woke me, being that after giving birth to that little boy I'd become an incredibly light sleeper.

All I could see was the back of a white coat and a blue scrub hat along with matching pants flowing down from the lab coat. I ruffled my eyebrows wondering what more the doctor might possibly need to check on Stone. He was leaned over his crib very quietly so I decided to raise my voice to get his attention.

"Can I help you?" The question did sound rather rude but if he was touching my baby I wanted to know what he was doing. He turned his head to the side allowing me to only see half of his face and not even get a good look at that. I sat up straighter in my bed and watched as his hand slowly crept inside his jacket in front of him, blocking my view from what he was reaching for.

"Hey," I began pulling the covers off of me, "Are you deaf?"

"Oh Skye," his voice made my skin crawl and heart skip a beat before I could even see his face, "How I've missed that spunk of yours."

Before even thinking I jumped to lung at him, but I was soon shown what he had been reaching for earlier. Upon first seeing it I was scared for not only my own life but Stone's as well. I was instantly looking towards my baby instead of the man now but before I could clearly lay eyes on him and see that he was okay the end of the gun made hard contact with my temple. I felt my body falling back onto the bed and my head hang off the side with blood already finding its way to the surface of my wound. Then, unable to fight it, my world went black, and the psychopath got away.

Mac pov.

"Man," Jack laughed, "I still can't believe you did that."

"You try going on five hours of sleep over the course of three days and see if you don't knock over your coffee or worse," I shot back in annoyance. I shoved some more clothes for Skye in a bag and back out the door we went just like that. There wasn't much else said about it on the car ride back. Once we reached the hospital and I was climbing out of the car my phone rang. I continued walking towards the hospital entrance then elevator in order to reach Skye's room, digging my phone out of my pocket.

"Who is it?" Jack questioned with a serious look.

"Unknown number," I said before hitting the answer button and placing the phone to my ear, "Hello?"

"Angus, Angus, Angus," he said making me go on instant high alert. I locked my jaw and froze in place right outside of the elevator on the seventh floor, looking around the small hospital space.

"Murdoc," I said to let Jack know who was on the other end.

"You know you really should be more careful Macgyver," he went on making my blood boil, "And keep a better eye on that new family of yours. Well what's left of it anyways."

My heart dropped to the floor as quickly as my phone did after I let it go and took off in a sprint towards the other end of the hall, towards Skye's room.

My world moved in slow motion yet I was sure I'd never moved faster in my life. Skye laid limply across her bed with the sheets thrown away from her and her head hanging off the side. My body moved that direction and I'm pretty sure I basically did a full on knee slide to get to her. My hands found her face and I pushed the hair away from it, feeling a warm liquid on my left hand. I pulled back and noticed the blood coming from her temple.

"No, no," I pulled myself to my feet, pulling Skye up as well. I could see Jack standing at the door with a scared and stern look. His phone was immediately out as he dialed who I was sure to be Matty.

"Skye," I sat down on the bed pulling her closely to my chest, "baby."

After a few seconds she began to stir ever so slightly. And eventually her eyes fluttered open.

"Hey," I smiled down at her on the verge of tears. Her eyebrows ruffled and her eyes darted around the room. That's when sometime new came over her and her eyes shot open wide.

"Murdoc," she said pulling away from me. She ran a shaky hand through her hair and pulled it back when she felt the blood on her fingers. Her head then snapped towards the small crib where our child laid, "Stone!"

She screamed his name rushing towards him. I shot from the bed following behind her. We both stopped in terror at the sight before us. Skye began to breathe very rapidly as panic rushed through her veins. She pushed me back without thinking, running for the hall.

"Nurse!" I heard her call. I paid her no more attention after that as I turned back to my son. I couldn't even recognize him anymore. His face was swollen to a pulp and had red splotched all over it. I reached my hand into his crib and placed it on his tiny chest hoping to feel something. My heart sank even farther when the only thing I could feel was the soft texture of his onesie beneath my palm. Nurses then came in rushing past me and pushing me to the side like Skye had only moments ago. I looked towards the hallway to see Jack holding tight to a hysterical Skye who was falling apart in his arms. He gave me a curious look and all I could do was shake my head in return.

I am so sorry for the wait but it was so hard writing this chapter. This story still has a ways to go and I hope this won't make you all stop reading.

This was an awful chapter but for the purpose of keeping this story going even further I wrote it.

Let me know what you thought or possibly how much you hate it.

Much love y'all!
