Skye pov.
I climbed into the large moving vehicle with a sick stomach. I knew there were many girls in the back and it killed me to know I was assisting in hurting them. We drove for hours and eventually came to a check point before we were able to cross the boarder. The driver of our van seemed laid back and at ease as we pulled up to the people awaiting us.
He leaned out and whispered something to the man and soon we were on our way without them even checking the back.
"What did you tell them?" My noisiness kicked in and I couldn't help but ask.
"I told him we had a packed for Mr. Lenard," the driver replied. I hadn't the slightest idea as to what that meant but I knew it had to be some kind of 'key word' or 'let in' for us to get through with no problem.
I nodded and looked forward again, doing my best to hide how I really felt about the situation.
After a little while we pulled onto this dirt road that led to an old farm house. That must of been the drop point for the girls. I got down out of the van once it came to a stop and went to the back. There I was met by an older man while the driver never left his seat in the vehicle.
"What you got?" He asked gesturing for me to open the back end.
"Depends," I smiled nicely, "What have you got for me?"
He put a toothpick which had been in his hand, in his mouth and dug into his pocket. All he pulled out was a slip of paper and handed it to me.
"What's this?" I asked with amusement holding it up like it was worth nothing.
"All you're getting until you show me the merchandise," he sternly looked at me and I got the hint. I rolled my eyes and pocketed the paper before unlatching the back and slinging the doors open.
There sat four young, beautiful, beaten women. They all looked terrified, starved, and in much need of a bath. I hated myself for this but I promised myself I would come back for them now that I knew where to find this place.
"Very nice," He climbed into the van and touched the face of one of the girls with care, "I'll give you one million."
"I hope you mean each," I crossed my arms tightly over my chest and gave him what I call 'the look'.
"Of course," he smiled coming back out.
"I was sent here expecting more," I said still eyeing him with caution.
"Yes well I'm sure Mason will appreciate that along with the fact that I am sending you back."
I stopped and just stared at the man. It hit me then. Mason wanted me to do this for him because he was done with me. He was expecting just the driver and the money back.
"You can tell him I don't have much need for... sassy ones like yourself," the man said. I scrunched my noises up with a smile in return, acting as if everything was still okay.
"So then I guess you'll be giving me the money, I'll give you the girls and we'll be on our way," I was trying to end this quickly and the man agreed.
"You get the girls out and I'll get your money," I nodded and got up into the back, unchaining all the girls before he got back. They were all put into his house with as little shoving as possible. When the old man came back out instead of having the dough he held a gun in his hand.
"Woah," I held my hands up and backed away slowly, "What's going on here man? Where's my money?"
I was yelling at him now in order to pull off the fact that I came here for money and nothing else.
"You tell Mason he'll get his cash when I get my fifth girl! And if he tries to send me your feisty ass again I'll put a bullet through your skull and keep the other girls without a money exchange." I wasn't sure what I had done to this man exactly to piss him off so much but I just nodded.
"Aye aye captain," I smirked. I backed away until I was at the van. Very cautiously I got into the passenger side and just like that we were gone.
The driver was not talkative and nothing was said about what had happened until I got back to headquarters.
"What the hell Mason!" I came in hot and shoved the man back.
"Skylar?" He sounded surprised to see me, "Did you get my money?"
"Oh you can take your money and shove it!" I yelled, "You sent me there for that bastard!?"
"What?" Now he was playing innocent, "No. Now where's the money?"
"I didn't get it," I huffed out even though I knew he would not like that.
"What!" He was defiantly angered by that. He looked beyond annoyed with me as he turned away with his hands on his hips.
"Go home," he breathed heavily looking at me over his shoulder.
"But what about-" I stepped forward but Mason stopped me by turning back towards me very harshly.
"But what? You think I'll still let you see your parents after this disaster," he got up in my face and I wanted to yell back but I bit my lip, bringing blood to the surface, to stop myself.
I stepped back until I was far enough away from him to turn my back. I was out the door and back in my car very quickly. I sped off leaving a trail of dust behind me.
"UGH!" I screamed, slamming my fist onto the steering wheel. The faint sound of someone calling my name made me look down at my earpiece sitting in my cup holder. I groaned again and picked it up, putting it in.
"Skye!" Ryan yelled in my ear.
"Chill Ryan," I sighed, "What is it?"
"What happened?" he asked more calmly this time, "Are- are you okay?"
I took a deep breath and nodded to myself, "Yeah I'm fine. I just screwed up big time."
"Not entirely," He grinned on the other end.
"Um explain," I demanded after his vague statement.
"You got that slip of paper still?" he asked. I then remembered what that man had handed me and I dug into my pocket to get it out. Carefully I unfolded it with one hand while still trying to keep my focus on the road. There were a series of numbers on it and I did not recognize them.
"What is this?" I questioned ruffling my eyebrows together.
"I know you told me not to but-" he paused for a moment, "I told Matty about your plan."
"Ryan!"
"You're welcome," he said, "she was able to get someone to squeal. That is the passcode for the door your parents are behind. We still aren't sure where it is but now we can get into it without a problem when we find it."
"I think I've seen some doors at the old building the Corps Order has been hiding out in with some new security protecting them. They could be there, right under my nose!" I was filled with relief and joy at the same time but I didn't want to get my hopes up too high.
"Thank you Ryan," the boy said causing me to chuckle and shake my head.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"It was nothing," he made himself sound like my hero but he was still the annoying voice in my ear everyday.
That night I was able to sneak back to the old build when no one was there. I was about to go in when my phone rang and at that moment, everything changed.

Author's Note:
Hey! I've been trying to do a better job with updating more often but I don't want to do it too often where the story goes by really fast. I plan to continue writing this as long as I can without running out of ideas.
Also I know this chapter didn't have Mac in it but I needed this for Skye so that we can get back to some more Mac action!
Hope y'all are still enjoying!
Much love y'all!
