Chapter 38

Laura's POV

"Are you sure you aren't tired?" Liam looked down at me as I lay on his lap watching TV. He just happens to look down at the exact moment I closed my eyes.

"No, I'm fine!" I opened my eyes quickly, looking up at him.

"Are you sure? Because we can just stay here if you want, watch a couple movies, just have a night in." he stroked my hair as he said this, analyzing my face.

"No, I want to see what you have planned." I smiled, not moving.

"Okay then, do you want to go now before you pass out?" he raised an eyebrow. I stuck my tongue out at him, sitting up to let him get off the couch. He pulled me up and handed me my sweatshirt. "It's colder over here."

"Are you sure you want me wearing this? I wouldn't want to steal it." I teased, throwing it back at him.

"You already did, and it looks great on you." He smirked, throwing it back.

"A baggy sweatshirt looks good on me?" I looked at him skeptically.

"Everything looks good on you." He made his way over to me, burying his face in my hair.

"Well you are easy to please," I chuckled, pushing him away.

"I guess I am," he laughed, opening the door as I threw on the sweatshirt. I pulled on my Uggs too, walking out and he closed the door behind me, handing me my purse that I forgot about inside. "I know you love to shop so I am taking you on a spree." He said smugly. "Need new clothes for your new place right?"

"You, are taking me shopping? You have no idea what you are getting yourself into." I shook my head as he led me out of the hotel.

"Oh yeah, and everything is on me." He wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close.

"Liam, no way." I looked at him sternly. "Hell no."

"Hell yes." He smiled, "don't argue. It is my money and I can do what I want with it."

"No, I refuse." I stopped dead in my tracks and crossed my arms. He didn't have to be so generous, yeah he might be rich but I know he isn't made of money.

"Stop being so difficult!" he tried pulling me along, but I stayed strong.

"Fine," I sighed. "But we are shopping for you too and I pay half for all of my stuff." I compromised, trying to be adult about it.

"Whatever you say," he rolled his eyes, dismissing my request and pulling me along. He waved down a cab and helped me inside, whispering the address to the driver and I looked at him weird. "What?" he asked. "Surprises are more fun."

"Fun for who?" I asked. "They aren't fun for me."

"Oh sure they are." Liam squeezed my sides, making me squeal. "Why are you being so stubborn today?"

I shrugged, "I'm not being more stubborn than usual. Maybe you just forgot what you got yourself into when you left." I looked up to see his reaction.

"Maybe so," was all he said, chuckling to himself.

I took my IPhone out of my purse, scrolling through missed texts and tweets. I could feel him looking over my shoulder so I stopped. "Excuse me."

"Yes?" he played.

"Looking through my phone is very rude." I stated, putting it face down in my lap.

"Then call me rude," he countered, grabbing it from my lap and started scrolling again.

"I really need to put a lock on that thing." I shook my head, making a mental note.
