It was Christmas Eve in the Forysth Corinthos Davis house and it was almost time for Morgan to go to bed. "Listen up buddy," Parker told the boy as she rolled his toy car back to him. "The sooner you go to sleep tonight, the sooner you get to see what Santa brings." Kristina backed up the other woman. "Yes sir," She said. "And you've been a super good boy this year, so he's probably gonna hook you up!" She told him, tickling his little belly. Parker laughed.
"You know," She began. "He literally has no idea what we're talking about." Kristina shrugged her shoulders. "Who cares?" She said with a smile. "He's gonna lose his mind in the morning." Parker looked down at Morgan who was now trying to eat his car. She took the car and replaced it with one of his teething rings. "Yes he is." Parker agreed. "The real question is if we are gonna regret it or not." She said with a laugh. "Hey!" Kristina said. "They may be noisy, but at least we can hear what he's doing when he runs off somewhere." She said and then paused briefly. "Now that I think about it, we really need to baby proof the doorknobs now. He is starting to climb on things." She informed her wife. "Noted." Parker replied, standing up.
"Are you ready to go to bed young man?" She asked the toddler. He stood up and held his arms up. "I guess I can carry you." She said sticking her tongue out at Kristina playfully. "But just this once." She told him and she picked him up. As they went to put pajamas on, Kristina went into the kitchen and stole one of Santa's cookies. She was about to grab another when she saw Parker walking back in without Morgan. "He's waiting on your loves mom." She was told by the blonde who snatched the cookie out of her hand and shoved the whole thing in her mouth. Kristina gave her a go to hell look. "Thanks babe." She said. "What? There's a whole plate?!" Parker said with a full mouth. Kristina just shook her head and smiled as she went to tuck the baby in.
A few minutes later she returned. "So," She said. "Are we gonna do this whole Santa thing now or in the morning?" She asked, snatching up another cookie and backing out of reach from her cookie thieving wife. Parker shrugged. "I don't know. What do you want to do?" she asked. Kristina opened the closet where they had been keeping most of the gifts. "There is a lot to put out," She told her looking at all the presents. "And there are still more in the bedroom. Maybe we should just do it tonight in case he gets up early in the morning?" Kristina looked at Parker. "Sounds good to me," The blonde replied. "I'll go get the ones out of the room." She told her and she walked off to grab them.
When she returned, Kristina was stuffing things under the tree and in the stockings. "Santa should have told me what a good little helper he had." Parker said with a chuckle as she bent down to start shoving her bundle of gifts under the tree as well. "Haha." Kristina faked a laugh as she tried to organize the mess. "It looks like crap." She said with a frown. "Oh honey," Parker told her. "He's not gonna care about presentation. He's just gonna wanna tear the paper and to be honest, probably play with the boxes more than anything." She said and Kristina laughed. "That's true. He is kinda like a cat sometimes." She admitted. Parker put the last gift down and they stood back and admired their work. "He's definitely not gonna know what to do with all of this stuff." Kristina said. Parker shook her head. "But let's not forget." She told her. "He's still got some things to open at your mom's and your dad's." Kristina rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah... They can definitely keep all of that stuff there."
"Before I forget though, there is one more thing." Parker said as she handed the smaller girl a small wrapped box. "Um..." Kristina said out loud. "I haven't gotten one out for you yet, so I really shouldn't open that." She told her, trying to push it away. "Kristina," Parker said firmly, pushing it back in her direction. "Just open it. Nothing to be nervous about, I promise. I already put the ring on your finger remember?" She joked and Kristina took the box. "If you say so." She said and she opened it.
It was a small wooden box. It was dark wood, but not exactly black and it had a K and a P carved nicely into the wood with a nice burnt look to the writing. "This is beautiful! Did you make this?" She asked. Parker shook her head. "I wish I could say I had, but no. It was the next best thing though. I asked my dad if he would do it for me." She informed her. "Dave made this?!" She exclaimed. "Oh I love that man." She told her. "And I love you." She told her giving her a kiss. Parker broke away from it after a few seconds. "I feel like I should tell you to open that box." She told her. Kristina opened the lid and inside she found a bracelet. It had a silver chain and little black stones all over it. "Babe!" She told her picking it up to look at it. "It matches my ring!" She said happily. "I love it! I love it!" She told her. "Here," She said as she held her wrist out for Parker to put it on. "I'm glad you like it." She told her with a smile. "Of course I do. It's beautiful." She told her. She looked at the tree. "In just a few hours, Morgan will be just as happy." She said. "Why does it feel like we are happier than the spawn?" She asked with a laugh. "Because we are," Parker told her kissing the side of her head. "Happy Christmas Eve."
