"What? Why? I thought she was fine." I can't believe what I'm hearing.

"She is stable for now, but her liver and kidney are shutting down. We found a puncture wound in her abdominal region, consistent with that of a needle, a syringe. We found high levels of a foreign drug in her system that's affected her organs badly. She's on dialysis currently, but this can't last forever."

"Can we see her?" I ask.

"I'm afraid she's in a medical induced coma. Right now, she needs rest, and a new liver and kidney."

Dr Fairway turns to go but I grab her wrist in desperation.

"Please, what about me? I'd give her my organs. Please, its worth a shot."

"Emily, the liver needs to come from a donor, and we don't know if your kidney is is a tissue match. We don't have time."

"I'm an FBI agent. Please, take a sample now. If this is what it takes to keep her alive. She has gone through hell,  and survived. Not just in her personal life. She has fought unsubs to save those whom she believes are innocent, and deserve a chance to live. She sees beauty in everyone except herself. She gives everyone a chance. It's time she received her chance."

"Look, Agent Emily, I can't promise anything. But we can run some tests. I'll have a nurse prep you."

"Thank you so much, Dr Fairway. You have no idea how much this means to me."

Dr Fairway gives a sad smile. "Unfortunately I do. It's alright, I understand."

** three hours later **

My tissues been sent for test. I pray it's a match for Jaydge. I don't know what I'd do if she couldn't get better. I watch her sleep with a tube through her mouth and I pray to God that she makes it.

"Emily?" I hear a voice.

I know that voice.

"JJ? What are you doing here?"

"Emily, please, do I need an excuse to see my favourite girl? What's wrong?"

"Why didn't you tell me about Will?"

"I was ashamed. I thought I loved him. I married him. I'm supposed to love him. I couldn't tell anyone about our relationship. He made me feel like that was what I deserved."

"Jaydge, nobody deserves that. Please, I want you to tell me everything. Just be honest to me, and be honest to yourself."

"Emily?"

I hear Hotch walk behind me. He puts his arm around my waist.

"I should have known. She's my best friend. I was her emergency contact." I sob as tears come pouring out. "Why couldn't she tell me?"

"Shh... it isn't your fault. It's that Will LaMontagne. I have cops on the lookout for him as we speak. He is not going to get away with this."

"He's got away for the past two years. Are you sure?"
