** JJ's POV **

Spence asked to go out yesterday, and my heart leapt. It's been ages since I last went out on a date with someone I genuinely loved, and I can't wait.

Emily and Hotch are looking after Aria, so it's just Spence and I. He gave no clues as to where we're going, but he says to dress smartly, so I wear a short red dress with puffed sleeves and heels. I braid my hair and neatly pin it so that the braid goes down my back. I hope I look okay, because Spence will probably look extremely handsome, and I don't want to disappoint him.

The doorbell rings, and for some reason I'm nervous as I go to open the door. He stands on my front doorstep with a small bunch of pink roses, my favourite, and a book with a ribbon. My worries immediately fade away as I lean in to his hug and he kisses my forehead.

"Hi, you're beautiful." He says lovingly, and hands me the flowers.

"Wow, Spence, they're gorgeous. How did you know they're my favourite?" I ask him as I smell the roses.

"I have my sources." He answers mysteriously. "Shall we?" He asks and offers me his arm.

I slip my hand around his arm and he leads me to his car. I'm so excited I almost drop the flowers in a hurry to open the door, but he's already one step ahead of me, and he opens the door neatly ready for me to slip in to the passenger seat.

"After you, ma'am." He says politely, and I laugh as I climb inside.

When we get going, I look over to look at him, and I can see the love in his eyes as he smiles at me. I'm so happy that we're finally going out. Even with Will, I still felt a connection between us. Now Will's gone, I can be happy again. Put those two years behind me.

** Reid's POV **

I drive to the hotel where I made a reservation, and as I pull up by the front entrance, JJ's face breaks into a wide smile.

"Wow, it's so beautiful. Did you really do all of this for me?"

"Of course, I love you. I'd do anything." I say.

I can tell she's a little overwhelmed, so I climb out, hand the keys to the concierge and open the door for her. She steps out of the car, the wind blowing a stray strand of hair across her face. She's so pretty, I just want to look at her body. But I look away from her, and lead her inside.

She gasps as she sees the big chandeliers and the shiny reception desk.

"Reservation for Dr Reid?" I ask the lady at the desk.

"Of course, room 451, fourth floor. Your bags will be brought up from the car. Dinner is served until 11:30 pm. Enjoy your stay with us, Sir." She says with a warm smile, and hands me the key to our room.

"Come on, let's go upstairs." I wave the key at JJ, who immediately grabs my hand and pulls me towards the elevator.

I let us into our room, which happens to be a suite overlooking the city, and we step out onto the balcony. The night air blows around us, and I wrap my jacket around JJ's shoulders to stop her getting cold.

"Thank you, Spence." She says as she turns to look at me. "I love you."

"I love you too." I answer, and pull her closer as our lips touch.
