** Hospital, two months later **

** JJ's POV **

My stomach hurts again, so I call out for a doctor.

"Jennifer, how are you feeling?"

"It hurts so much. Doctor Fairway, is something wrong? When I had my boy, Henry, it never hurt as much as this."

"Jennifer, every pregnancy is different. What you are feeling is normal for people. There's nothing wrong with the baby, I am sure. Your levels are healthy, in fact, with your progress, we may be able to discharge you this week."

"Really?" My face lights up. I'm so bored of the hospital, the same room.

"I'll be back to check on you."

As the doctor leaves, I pick up my phone.

"Emily? Dr Fairway says I can leave soon! I can't wait."

Since I've been in hospital, I've divorced Will. Well, not legally, since he is nowhere to be seen. But I threw away my ring. I changed my name and title. I feel much better. I've bought a new house. I don't ever want to return to that place. Emily moved all my stuff out for me, and she says my new place looks great. It's time to start again.

Even with this baby. The ultimate victory over Will is keeping the baby, and raising her lovingly. Henry's so excited to have a little sister, bless him. I'm going to take care of my girl, and make sure she never sees Will.

** Reid's POV **

Visiting JJ is the hardest thing. Seeing her in hospital. When we found her, she was barely conscious and was completely unaware that she was still pregnant. I worried about her as she was not allowed visitors for the week.

Seven days passed slowly before the doctors said she was well enough for visitors. Emily went first, but I followed soon after. JJ seemed to have forgotten about yelling at me, and I was certainly in no hurry to remind her. I liked talking to her as a friend again.

"Hey, how are you today?" I ask her as I enter her room. She smiles warmly and gives a small wave.

"Hi, Spence. Yeah, I'm good. Dr Fairway said I could leave soon. I can't wait to see my new place. How are you doing?"

"Good. We haven't got any cases. The director said that in light of recent events, we should take it easy so he's filtering our cases whilst you're not at work. We've only had two in the past few months, and they were easily solved."

"It's nice to see you, Spence. How are the rest of the team doing?"

"Good. You know, Emily's started running. With the extra time we have at the moment, her and Hotch have been going on some early morning runs recently."

"Oh, really. I'm happy for her, you know. I predicted it, when they first met. She makes him smile like I've never seen. He's so different when he's around her."

I try not to look disappointed that I haven't told her how I feel, but she notices it anyway.

"Spence? Is there something you want to say?"

"Look, I don't know how to explain it..." I start to explain, but my phone rings.

"Reid? Hotch wants you in now. We've had a report filed on Will. Come on."

JJ's face goes slightly pale but I take her hand.

"It'll be alright. He can't harm you. I'm sure it's nothing."

As I leave, I pray hard that I'm right.
