** Rossi's POV **

Hotch pulls up outside the girl's house. Lori Thomas. She has her whole life ahead of her, I don't want the same thing to happen. We climb out of the SUV, but haven't reached her front door when someone in a white dress runs up to us.

"Are you the BAU?"

"Yes, why?"

"A detective told me to give you a note. Here." She holds out a folded piece of paper.

"What was his name?"

"LaMontagne, I think. I'm pretty sure that's what his badge said. Is something wrong?"

"No, of course not. Thank you very much, Miss Thomas." I take the note from her, and watch as she goes back inside.

"Hotch? What are you thinking?"

We open the note, and Reid almost drops it in shock.

Where do you think I'm going? A choice between my wife, and some girl with a sob story. Pity you won't be there.

"He's playing us." Morgan says, pissed.

I'm not surprised, he obviously wanted to lead us away from JJ. Hotch calls Emily, but there's no response.

"Guys, we need to go, now. Emily's not answering. I think he might have found her."

We all climb back in the SUV, and Hotch speeds off with the lights and siren on.

** Emily's POV **

It's dark when I open my eyes. I can't see much, but I can sense someone in the room. My legs are tied and I'm lying on a bed.

"Will? What do you want?"

"Well, Emily. You know my wife better than anyone. What do you think I want?"

"She's not your wife anymore. She's left you."

"SHUT UP!" He yells out, making me jump. "JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP, BITCH. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HER, OR ME."

"Will, I do understand. You love her, you love her very much. She angers you when she doesn't return your affection. Instead she distances herself away from you, so you have to keep her close. You only restrain her when you're afraid she's moving away. You're scared that she's going to leave you. She's the only person you have feelings for, and the only person who you want next to you. You'll do anything to keep her."

He pauses, and then sits at the edge of the bed. There's a faint flicker of light coming from a crack in a door at the side of the room. I can see a tear rolling down his cheek, and he rubs it off.

"No, that's not right. She loves me. She loves ME." He repeats, his hand hovering over the trigger of a gun on his lap.

"Will, of course she loves you. She doesn't want to leave you, but you have to understand. What you did, it didn't help. She was scared of you, that's why she kept her distance. It wasn't that she didn't love you. She was too afraid that you'd hurt her." I say softly.

He looks at me with hope in his eyes.

"Will she want me again?"

"Of course, she's been asking for you since she's been in hospital. She still loves you. You need to show how much she means to you."

As soon as it comes out, I know I've said the wrong thing. He hurries out of the room, leaving me lying on the bed. His footsteps clatter outside and I hear the engine of a car drive away. SHIT.
