This isn't what I want

chapter 12

** Will's POV **

"Bitch." I say with a laugh as blood splutters out of her stomach.

She's groaning in pain and as she tries to press down on the large gash, more blood pours out. Tears are running from her eyes as she tries to speak, but she can't get the words out. Blood forms around her mouth and her arm hangs down by her side.

Then Aidan comes and he stops in shock.

"What the fuck did you do to your wife, man?"

"She's a dirty little slut who doesn't know how to respect her husband."

"Man, come on. She needs help. Look, it's not too far to a hospital. A different one. Come on, I'll help. Let's get her to the van."

** North Richmond Hospital **

** Dr Aisha Walker's POV **

Nothing could have prepared me for what came through the doors.

A Caucasian woman, late twenties was being almost dragged into the ER. A young man was holding her upright as he approached the desk.

"Please, help me. She's been stabbed badly. I think she's unconscious."

"Sir, take a seat. I need a trolley and paramedics. Page Dr Mendes STAT!" I call out.

She's placed on her back on an empty bed and I examine her stomach. The wound is extremely deep, and I'm worried about her bleeding to death.

The surgery team are waiting in OR3 and I have the woman scanned.

"Twenty-nine year old woman fatal stabbing to lower right abdominal region and non fatal stab wounds to lower body. Scans show no major arteries or veins. And, wait a minute..." something catches my attention.

"We need to find out who this woman is. And contact her family." I say and step out of the OR.

** Reid's POV **

I get a phone call and check caller ID. Unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Are you Spence Reid?"

"Um, Dr Spencer Reid, yes. Who is this?"

"Sir, oh, Doctor. My name is Dr Aisha Walker. I have some information on a Mrs Jennifer Jareau-LaMontagne."

"Oh, really? Where is she? Is she okay?"

"I'm afraid I have some bad news."

"What is it?"

"She was brought into the ER by a young man, who was supporting her. She had a large stab wound in her lower right abdomen."

"Oh my goodness is she alright?"

"Doctor Reid, there's something else. We had a CAT scan done. We want to check to see if any major blood vessels had been damaged. But we found something that wasn't related to the stab wound."

"What? Please, tell me."

"Doctor, I'm afraid this will come as a bit of a shock."

"As long as she is okay?"

"Dr Reid, Mrs Jareau-LaMontagne is three weeks pregnant."
