Anika's POV

I was finishing stocking the shelves at the pet store were I work at. I was stocking the fish food when the bells on the door ring.

"Um, Hello welcome. If you need anything I'm right over here." I call out to the costumer that just walked in. A few moments later someone comes around the corner and laughs at me. I was about to turn around and yell at the person, but when I saw him my jaw dropped and I wanted to jump on him, well at least my wolf side did.

"Would you like some help?" A soft Australian accent asked.

"Yes actually. This is kinda embarrassing to ask, but I can't find the step stool and seeing that I'm like a hobbit and all. Could you put these cans of fish food on the top shelf for me?" I asked really awkwardly. He chuckled and nodded his head.

"I wouldn't call you a hobbit. How about fun sized instead?"

"Fun sized is good."

"I'm Michael by the way."

"Anika, but call me Ani." I said with a blush.

Michael's POV

Anika. What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. She is the perfect height. I love her light brown hair with her bright purple streaks. It complements her chocolate brown eyes perfectly. I know she is like us from the scent she gives off. I can also tell that she is my mate. I just want to kiss her. Hell why not just go for it? As soon as I got the last can of food up, I pulled her into me with no trouble at all, I leaned in as she stood on her tip toes. It was freaking magical. It was perfect! I wouldn't believe it if it didn't happen to me.

"What time do you get off?" I asked?

"5."

"I'll meet you outside then you are coming to dinner so you can meet my alpha. Okay?" She nodded her head and smiled. I was about to walk out of the door when she stopped me.

"Mikey, wait! What did you come in for?"

"I was looking for a kitten. I found her though." I said with a smirk on my face. I waved to her and left. I quickly pulled out my phone to call Liam.

L- What is it Michael?

M- I FOUND HER!

L- Call down. Found who? What are you even talking about?

M- I found the girl, Liam. I found my mate. She is amazing and she is also coming out for dinner tonight.

L- That's great Mikey. I would have appreciated a little more time notice. But, it is what it is. What do you know about her?"

M- That her name is Anika.

L- That's it. That's all you know? Well, Louis, Zayn, and myself will question her after dinner. Dinner will be ready at 7.

M- Great she gets off at 5 so that gives her time to get ready. Bye Liam

L- Bye Mikey.

I hung up the phone and went to the coffee shop down the street. A little bit before 5 I walked back to the pet store and we both went to her flat so she could change and whatever else girls do.

Skipping To After Dinner

Liam, Louis, and Zayn are all sitting across from Ani and I. The lads went up to their rooms to give us privacy. I was incredibly nerves. I can't even imagine how Ani is feeling.

"So, Anika tell us about yourself." Louis said.

"What do you want to know. Also if you don't mind I prefer to be called Ani. Only if you want to though."

"Okay, why aren't you with a pack?" Liam asked.

"How did you- I never said- What?"

"I'm and alpha we know things. Now, answer my question."

"I ran away. I disagreed with things that were going on with in the pack, so I left."

"Fair enough." Zayn said.

"You can stay with the rest of the girls in the house out back. It's big enough for all 3 of you. Mikey you can show her the way. Then both of you get to bed. Understood?"

"Yes sir." We both said.

A Few Months Later

I couldn't help it anymore. I just set down and cried. Mikey came running over to me and trying to calm me down.

"Why don't they like me? Why would they say these things?" I asked sobbing.

"It's because they are jealous. You are kind and amazing. You have beauty and you can be a smartass. You're just a good person in general. And they are just jealous of that."

"I love you, Mikey."

"I love you, too Anika."
