i carefully picked jimin up and carried him to the front door. tae got it for me and followed us upstairs.
i placed jimin down in bed, pulling the covers up over him. i brushed the hair out of his face and kissed his forehead. taehyung made an "aww" face as i walked out of the room.
"soooo, what's your plan?" we stepped back outside.
i sucked in a deep breath, "i'm joining the peace corps with my sister at the end of july. so, just a couple months from now." my stomach sunk as i spoke the words.
"your sister? wow. that's really cool, yoongs." he smiled, "how long will you be gone?"
"not sure. just for however long i am needed. it was a long time promise my sister and i had since we were young. it just appealed to us and was a way for us to reconnect in the future."
"that's good. make sure to send me pics. where are you going?"
"mongolia."
"ooh, sounds fun." he laughed.
"yeah... i am just concerned for jimin and i. i know he can probably sense what i'm thinking. i swear he's magical or something."
"and what's that?"
"i'm going to be far away. and, for a long time. i've developed this terribly strong sense of protectiveness over him that... well, i don't even know. god, taehyung. i love him to death but i just don't know if it's good for us to be together while i'm so far away." i sighed and taehyung understood what i was getting at.
"i'll tell you this, yoongs," he put his hand on my shoulder. he began to lay out this little thing that happened to his parents when they were young. he pulled an idea from it.
i didn't want to do it. really, i don't. it's going to kill me but i really have no other option.
