Kimberly's POV
Thank God it's Friday! This week has been so tiring. With all the chaos and dealing with a crazy obsessed teacher who claims me as her's.
The bell rang for first period so my friends and I made our way to Mr. Traver's class.
"So what's new with you guys? Joining any sports this season?"
"I'm not doing any sports but I do have news," Joseph said.
"I also have news," Jackie stated.
"Alright, tell me. Joseph first."
"Okay here goes...Maria and I are dating."
My eyes widened in shock. "What?! Omg I'm so happy for you guys! Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"I don't know, it kinda just started. Last week we were talking and it just sorta blossomed."
"Awww cuties. Now, Jackie what about you?"
"I'm actually in a relationship too. His name is Carlos."
"Wait, you mean Carlos in our math class. The smart and short guy that brushes his hair way too much?"
"Yes, him. Isn't he cute," she said beginning to gush about him. "Oh my gosh I love him so much."
"Awww I'm so happy for you guys! I hope your relationships work out well."
"Thanks. Now, any new relationship stuff with you?" Joseph asked me. "I think Cameron has a crush on you."
"Nahh he isn't really my type. Have you guys heard from him? I haven't seen him in a while."
"Nope, maybe he transferred again?"
"That's unusual. Start a new school for a month, join a sport, then leave?"
"I tried texting him," Maria said. "But all it's saying is delivered. Some apps even saying that he's no longer on or is disconnected."
"I doubt that he would just randomly go off the grid without telling anyone."
"You never know."
We continued our work, chatting here and there, each time Mr. Travers telling us to be quiet or threatening us with detention or a write up.
The thought of Cameron just disappearing out of nowhere still stuck in my mind. He doesn't seem like the type of guy that would do that, even if I did know him for only a short time.
I remembered Ms. Winston being really jealous of him because she thought I liked him. She wouldn't hurt him, would she?
I planned on asking her at the end of 4th period.****
Today in math, our teacher thought we deserved a break from all the hard work, when in reality she just had to catch up on paper work. Hey I'm not complaining. So, we just chilled and watched a movie. I would pick that over work any day. After math it was time for lunch. I made my way to my locker to put my books in it and get some snacks that I bought in the morning. On the way there, I spotted Ms. Winston chatting with another teacher. Ms. Cameron if I remember correctly.
Although I didn't have her, I heard that she's a pretty chill teacher. Crap!
Ms. Winston and I made eye contact and Ms. Cameron turned around.I quickly averted my eyes and turned back to my locker. I'd been ignoring her as much as possible, not the smartest idea. I wasn't returning calls, reading texts or answering video calls.
Now that I think about it, I'm definitely in for it. I'll have to act as innocent as possible. Maybe she'll go easy on me. God knows how unpredictable she can be.
I heard a loud laugh from their direction and looked up. Ms. Winston had her hand on Ms. Cameron's shoulder with a wide smile on her face. She was also twirling her hair as if to flirt with her.
How can you say you love someone then flirt with someone else in front of them? If she was trying to make me jealous, it wasn't working....was it?
No that's impossible! I don't like her, I can't like her. That women is batshit crazy! If I start having feelings, that means she wins, and I don't want her to win. I just want my friends and family safe.
I closed my locker and made my way to the lunchroom, ignoring what was happening behind me. I won't give her the satisfaction of seeing my face right now.
In the lunchroom was chaos. People were standing on chairs and tables with their phones out. It looks as if a brawl had broken out. There were like 4 different groups of people fighting all over the place with security guards and teachers trying to break them up.
"Well then," I said. I walked right back out and texted my friends.
Kimberly: guys what's happening in the lunchroom!?!?!? It's like a frekin moshpit in there.
M1k3: yooooo this one dude that was beefing with this other dude started getting in his face and one pushed the other then his friend got in and more people kept joining in
JA©K0ff: I GOT DA VIDEO BICCHHHEESSSSS
MaΓia: seeeennddd
Cμp0fJ03: Meanwhile I got caught up in the middle of it and I'm hiding under a table
M1k3: 😭😭😭 this bitch just got knocked tf out
So a brawl did break out. Well, I don't wanna be in there while that is happening. The group chat continued texting and commenting about the fight. I knew this would be on everybody's Instagram page later.
I wandered around the hallway and found a good spot to sit in, listen to music and chill till the bell rang.
After a couple minutes of listening to a Marina playlist, I heard footsteps coming around the corner.
I immediately got up and started to walk in the direction of the bathroom.
"Hold it!"
Shit! I recognized that voice anywhere. Why couldn't a different teacher catch me? Out of all the goddamm teachers in this school, it had to be the one I was avoiding.
"Turn around Kimberly"
I groaned and slowly turned around.
"Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you're groaning at?"
"Casper the motherfucking friendly ghost," I said in a sarcastic tone.
"That's it, I've had it with you."
She grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her room. I didn't dare pull away from her in fear that she would do something bad, plus she was already angry with me.
She basically dragged me into her room, shut the door and locked it. She turned to me and crossed her arms. Her eyes held that crazy sparkle again.
"Why are you acting like this?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe because I'm technically being held hostage by my crazy teacher who has threatened my friends and family!" I snapped at her.
She raised her eyebrow at me and slowly walked to where I was. I backed up until I was against a wall and held my hands up in defense.
"I didn't mean it, I swear!"
She grabbed both my wrist and held them over my head.
"So what if I'm crazy," she smirked and leaned in until I felt her lips on my ear. "The best people are."
