Kimberly's POV

I sat in the car, quietly sipping my peach mango smoothie and focusing on the taste and texture instead of accepting my current life.

We had just left the cafe and was going god knows where.

"Do you want to listen to some music?," Rebecca asked hopefully.

"Whatever."

She sighed and turned on the radio.

Best of today's top hits on 101.1, your favorite commercial free station

Yeah right, I give it an hour before The commercials come on.

"Ooohh yeah, love me some Madonna," she said as Vogue started to play.

"Strike a pose," she sand along with the music as she made a pose.

I swear if we get into a crash because of her dancing...

I must admit I like the song, I know the lyrics, and I usually sing and dance along, but today I wasn't feeling it at all.

"Look around, everywhere you turn is heartache
It's everywhere that you go (look around)
You try everything you can to escape
The pain of life that you know (life that you know)
When all else fails and you long to be
Something better than you are today
I know a place where you can get away
It's called a dance floor, and here's what it's for, so

Come on, vogue
Let your body move to the music (move to the music)
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vogue
Let your body go with the flow (go with the flow)
You know you can do it"

I laughed as Rebecca got more into character. She is really into this song.
Towards the end of the song I couldn't hold back anymore and we both sang it simultaneously.

"See that wasn't so bad was it?"

"I guess not."

I stared out of the window at the big building we were approaching with a semi crowded parking lot.

"Why are we at the movies?"

"To buy towels," she said sarcastically. "Why else does anyone go to the movies?"

Well if I remember correctly, I was taken to one for...other reasons. But I kept that to myself. Thank goodness this is a different one.

"Two tickets to lion king please."

Rebecca bought the tickets to theater 6. The movie was due in about 5 minutes.

"Popcorn?"

I shook my head. "Not a fan."

"Nachos?"

I made an awkward face and she could tell by my expression that that was also a no.

"Well what do you want?"
