Kimberely's POV
I've got to get away from her. This woman definitely has some type of mental problems. I'm just scared to. She did threaten my dad and little brother, they're the only close family I have left.
After the movie, we got in the car and she started driving to some other place and wouldn't tell me where. I didn't want to see her throw something else so I asked no questions.
I feel violated and not in control. I need to think of something and fast. She keeps asking me questions about my friends and it's getting weird.
"So what about Joseph, when did you guys meet?"
"Uhhmm...about 6 years ago. I forgot how we met though. I think it was playing tag at a park."
"Do you like him?"
That question caught me off guard.
"What?! No! He's just one of my best friends."
"You guys just spend a lot of time together."
"As best friends should," I said in a duh tone.
"What about Jackie, Maria and Michael?"
"All good friends and how do you know all of them?"
She hesitated for a little bit. "I have them all in my classes. Maria and Michael are in different periods though."
I'll have to check with them and see their schedules. I don't understand why she's so interested in them.
"What about Cameron?"
"The new boy?"
"Yes him," she said through gritted teeth. What does she have against him? He just came a few weeks ago.
"He's also a friend. I just met him this year though."
"You just made friends with him? Not knowing any background information, if he committed any crimes...he could be in some drug smuggling thing in the school for all we know!"
"Woah woah woah calm down. What did he ever do to you?"
She stayed silent and just continued driving. I could see her nostrils flaring.
"Do you have a crush on him?"
"No and why do you care?"
"LIAR!"
She made a hard sudden stop at a stop sign that made me jerk forward so hard, I probably would've gotten a concussion if I didn't have my seat belt on.
"What was that for?!!!" I yelled
"I'm going to ask you this one more time. And I want you to tell me the truth.
Do. You. Like. Cameron?"
She turned to face towards me and looked straight into my eyes, her glare burning into mines.
"No. I don't. I'm not lying. He asked me out today and I declined. Happy now?"
She smiled at me and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Yep"
