"Mel. Mel. Mel wake up"I felt hands on my back. I look up at my boyfriend who was one sentinels.

He makes sure to ensure that the pack is safe by patrolling the territory and watching the movements of the surroundings.

They are to make sure that no intruders enter the clearing. In doing so, it is a sentinel's responsibility to greet new visitors and learn why they are here and where they come from.

Being in that position, it is the sentinel's job to make sure each new visitor that comes into the clearing has good intentions as well. When the sentinel is not present within the clearing or if there is none, the greeting responsibilities go to all adult pack members.

Sentinels also make sure that the pack members keep themselves out of trouble, and that means no fights break out between visiting werewolves (or other pack members), warning them of the rules.

After the warning, the sentinel may penalize continual aggressiveness or provoking werewolves out of the pack. If this does happen they are to report to their alpha and/or beta and inform them about what has occurred.   

His name is Alfred. I love his name. It makes me feel so good saying it. Not in sex but just out loud. "Al, why you woke me up?"

"What time you have to go to Yellowstone?"Alfred ask me as he took off his belt.

"At 10 in the morning"I said.

"I hate him"Alfred mumble.

"Hate who?"I ask.

"Maynard, why he doing this to you?"Alfred ask.

"Al, I made some terrible mistakes back then. One of them is me working for Maynard as a maid"I said.

"Tell me your story"Alfred started sharping his weapon. I sigh while looking at the weapon then his nappy head.

"Back then........"

¤Flashback to 2006¤

"Okay Melanie, where is the Melanin Pack?"my father Abu ask.

"Over there, pass the river where the hunters hunt fish at"I pointed.

"Good job. And Yellowstone?"he ask.

I took a minute to remember. Where is it? I don't remember.

"She don't know abu, leave her alone"my mother Mary said.

"She needs to know woman"my father was a very strong man. He always wanted me and my mom in his eyes. Nobody else.

My father was a delta.
The delta werewolf is a werewolf in training for beta position. They are third in rank to alpha and beta.

Deltas do not hold the authority to call medium or large hunts. That is a privilege to only ranked alphas, betas, and hunters. Deltas usually become the next Beta after training is complete but one can remain Delta without moving to Beta position.
