"Maynard, have you seen my bag"my girlfriend for 4 years said. Everytime I look at her long hair, freckle face, and nice body I get mad. She ain't my Luna. Why she here?
"Somewhere"I said while on my computer.
"Maynard"I heard her calling me again. I sigh heavily getting piss and she knows it. "Never mind"
"Hey"my brother Michael who is my beta. If you don't know what a beta do.
The Beta is Second in command. They are thought of as less important than the Alpha and Luna, but more important than the rest of the pack. They also lead the pack when the Alpha and Luna are away from the pack.
Since my dad picked me as alpha, he didn't think that Michael was strong enough to be alpha. Michael is a total sweetheart. He wouldn't hurt a fly. He wouldn't even kill a black person.
"What you want?"I ask while playing with my pen. I look up seeing Melanie coming in my office.
Melanie. God, that's a tough one. The reason why I said that is cause I like her. Not cause she speaks German herself, cause she is beautiful. Her natural hair with her natural face. Everything about her is natural.
"I-I wanted to t-tell you that I'm here"Melanie said stuttering.
"Okay. I want you to clean the ballroom after what happen last night"I smiled with Michael.
"Yes sir"Melanie walk out but I called her back in.
"Melanie, I wanted to ask you. How old are you?"I ask.
"19 years old"she said.
I nod my head and waved my hand for her to go. Michael stared at me and shook his head.
"What?"I look at him.
"The girl. She don't belong here Maynard"Michael said.
"Michael, she ain't the only one. There's Kim, mya, and Tina"I said.
"Who died under your watch. You know melanin pack was so upset with you, you made a promise"
"What kind of promise?"I ask.
"To not kill no more african Americans"Michael said.
"I break promises Michael. I see why father didnt elect you to be alpha"I said.
"I don't want to talk about it"Michael got up and walk out my office. Thank god he's gone.
All that whining and crying isn't fit for him. See why he's a beta.
