The day went by so slow today. I was in the emergency department taking care the pups who was sick. The salutary was making some medication for them.

"Melanie, make sure they are all asleep"the salutary said as she check some things off the list. I look at thr tv that was on then heard a knock at the door. I look over at the door seeing our alpha. "Alpha"the salutary bow down.

"Salutary, what's the status?"he ask.

"The kids are getting better alpha. We found the right medication"she said smiling.

"Very good. That's good news to hear, at least our pups aren't dying any more"he said. I look down once I heard the word dying. It made me think of my mother and what had happened to her. His fucking Luna killed my mother. "Melody?"

I look up wiping my eyes. "I'm sorry alpha"I said.

"It's okay. I'm sorry about how....."

"It's fine. She's in a better place"I fake smiled. "Where is the Luna?"

"She went to the store. Why?"he ask.

"I want to talk to her about something"I said.

"Mhmmm"he chuckle.

"What's funny?"I ask.

"Shouldn't you be at Maynard pack helping out"he said.

"No"I said bluntly. "I hate him"I mumble.

"We all do"he tap my back. I felt something when he did that. Not like a love feeling. Like a close feeling. Like I'm a relative to him or something. "I have to get going. Your boyfriend is calling"

I shook my head and stood up from the seat. "What you have to tell the Luna?"the salutary ask.

"Just talk"I said.

"Melanie tell me"she look at me with her hazel eyes. I didn't want to tell her. "I can feel your emotions child. What's wrong?"

"My mom"I cried. "She came to me last night and told me that the Luna hitted her in the back of the head with a rock. The Yellowstone pack capture my mom and killed her. If she didn't hit my mother with the rock back then, my mother would of been still here working by my side helping the little kids"I cried out loud.

The salutary pulled me out the room. She wipe my eyes  and hugged me. "Let me tell you something, I worked with your mother for a long time. I knew why she wanted to hurt your mother"

"Please tell me"

"Not here, somewhere safe and away from here"she said.

I nod my head and wipe my eyes. I want to know what really happened. Why did the Luna hurted my mother?
