Forgiveness

No need to ask for forgiveness when I felt it coming and I had already accepted your apology before you had even thought of it.
I understand the risks of battle and what may happen after the war.
However I'll still be awaiting your arrival whether you want me to or not.
Please know that.
And I know that you feel like you should give up, and maybe you should give yourself a break from the fight and surrender all of your might.
Acknowledge that I certainly don't deserve better nor do I crave the need for more.
I am bidding you farewell to you for this journey that you feel that you must take for I too feel like giving up and taking a break.
Yet I do this in hopes that you'll still return to me safely.
Don't let yourself give up completely, no matter how much you think you should.
Let yourself feel the good things and remember them as well for they should a company you on this journey since I may not.
Remember what life was before the war, no matter how bad it may be and let yourself accept what it will be afterward.
For I will never tire of awaiting your return and you shouldn't either.
