"Welcome back!" Chris welcomed, "Before the break, the campers were informed of their strength-oriented challenge. Now that each team has developed a strategy, it's time to begin. Or is it...?"
--------
The cameras proceeded to turn their attention to the three teams, each having selected their members for the challenge. For the Chaotic Cougars, having been handicapped by the new rules, were forced to bench Aaron and Tory, arguably their two strongest members. For the Merciless Moose, they had no choice for who would participate, as they only had four members. For the Wild Wolverines, they had three of the stronger males in the competition, so to have any of them sit out would weaken them. After a group vote, Alexander was benched, although he wasn't too happy about it.
"This is ridiculous..." Alexander complained, frustrated with his team.
"I'm a 2nd degree black belt in aikedo! This challenge was meant for me! All that Alejandro and Daniel have shown is that they can skateboard and flip twenty times. I'd like to see either of them do what I do."- Alexander
"We're a goner..." Aaron admitted, whispering to Tory.
"I wasn't gonna say it out loud, but he's right. Without Aaron and I, Veronica is really the only one who can pull her weight, literally. Zeyad's a stick with a big mouth, Matthew can't use his legs as a fulcrum, and Rhythm...well, I'd say she's more brain than brawn. We're not looking so good."- Tory
"Alright! Before we begin, we have one more twist to add, just to make things interesting!" Chris declared as he walked behind three chests, "In these chests are disadvantages that will make the challenge more difficult to complete. I will need one volunteer from each team to come up and pick a chest."
"This is all me!" Devin declared as he began walking towards Chris, "I play these games all the time back home! I always get lucky!"
"I doubt that..." Katelyn commented to Kiana, after which they both began laughing.
"I'll do it!" Zeyad announced as he ran over to the chests, leaving his team to sigh in disappointment.
"If no one minds, I'll take a crack at it," Daniel offered, to which each of his teammates nodded in approval.
"Alright, because the Wild Wolverines got the highest score in the tiebreaker during the last challenge, Daniel gets to choose his chest first," Chris declared.
The chests were ordinary. They each were 1ft in length, 1ft in width, 1ft in height, and made of spruce wood. Lined up side-by-side, there were no noticeable differences between them, leaving any choice to be made blindly. Not even Daniel could make a choice with 100% accuracy.
"I'll choose the chest on the far right," Daniel declared, allowing Chris to open it and pull out a card with a message on it.
"Congratulations! Your team must now have to pull an extra buoy weighing 100 pounds!" Chris announced enthusiastically.
"Eh, could be worse," Daniel remarked as he walked back to his team.
"Since the Chaotic Cougars placed second in the tiebreaker, Zeyad gets to pick next," Chris declared.
"I'll stick with the one on the left," Zeyad requested, "Y'know, because it's the first one, and we're gonna finish first in this challenge-"
"Don't care," Chris interrupted as he read the card from the chest, "Congratulations! Your team must pull all of your buoys past the finish line whilst blindfolded!"
"Good. That way we don't have to watch him complain the whole time," Rhythm remarked to Veronica.
"I guess I'll pick the middle one," Devin agreed as Chris opened the chest and pulled out the card.
